THE USA NATIONAL PARKS

1. THE GRAND CANYON

It’s the biggest canyon on earth. RIVER  Colorado River. It can snow at the top of the canyon, but still be hot at the

bottom.

2. THE REDWOOD NATIONAL PARK

It’s home to some of the world’s tallest trees.

3. YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK

You can see spectacular waterfalls, but you should be careful, because there are the bears that live in the park, they can be

very dangerous.

4. DEATH VALLEY

It’s in the Mojave Desert in California and it’s one of

the lowest, driest and hottest places in North

America.

5. MOUNT RUSHMORE

NATIONAL MEMORIAL

It’s in South Dakota. It’s a monument with 4 huge faces of the American Presidents

from the past: 1. Lincoln; 2. Washington; 3. Jefferson; 4. Roosvelt.

6. MONUMENT

VALLEY

It’s a symbol of the American West. It’s full of

red rocks (far west).

7. YELLOWSTONE

It covers 3 states: - Idaho, Wyoming, Montana. You can find volcanic geysers, thermal

springs, hot pools. There are a lot of animals, for example: Grizzly bears, black

bears, deers, antelopes, moose, bisons.
