ABSTRACT
This dissertation deals with the materials management process development for ENI E&P oil upstream activities.
At first the existing materials management activities are identified and formalized in the exploration and development projects and throughout the production operations up to decommissioning.
Since the different aspects of the materials management process are at present managed separately by different departments in different phases, the opportunity of managing the process with a dedicated system is verified by this analysis. The construction of this system starts with the stakeholders requirements identification, continues with the definition of the processes for the project and realization of the operating activities, aimed at satisfying the stakeholders requirements, and ends with the definition of the processes for the project and the realization of the management activities and the objectives achievement check activities. The material management global system map is used as well to analyze the process, to identify its critical aspects and its lacks and to propose some possible solutions.
