WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF…?

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THIS PLASTIC BOTTLE IF I THROW IT ON THE

GROUND?

It will probably end up in the river and then it will go to the sea. After that it might become part of an enormus plastic island. Fish might see

the plastic in the water and they may think it’s food. If they eat the plastic, it will enter our food

chain.

If I throw this bottle into a bin. It will end up in a landfill. If it goes into a landfill, it won’t decompose.

I twill stay there four hundreds of years!

Chemicals from the plastic will get into the water system and damage our environment. The problem is so bad that some cities are banning plastic water battles if throw this bottle into a recycling plant they will break it down and use it to make all sorts of things… like this cool

skateboard!

If we recycle, we’ll make a difference to the environment.
