The Vale Columbia Center on Sustainable International Investment (VCC) seeks to be a leader on issues related to foreign direct investment (FDI) in the global economy, paying special attention to the sustainability dimension of this investment. Magdolna Sass has been a senior research fellow at the Institute for Economics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences since 1996. Her main research topics are foreign direct investment and foreign trade and related policies in the East-Central European countries, with special attention to developments in Hungary. UN Centre on Transnational Corporations, New York (1988-1993), and served with UN electoral missions in South Africa and the Western Sahara.
