The Cagliari meeting of Incontri di Fisica delle Alte Energie (IFAE) marks the 12th edition of this new series and follows thirteen editions dedicated to LEP.

The number of partecipants, mostly young researchers and graduate students, once again exceeded one hundred, with more than 45 presentations, confirming the already consolidated success and interest of the meeting among younger researchers.

Also in this occasion the tradition to host the meeting at a University complex was kept and the campus of the University of Cagliari in Monserrato was the venue of talks and presentations.

As expected, the new boson discovered at CERN in 2012 was the main star of the scientific programme of this edition of IFAE. However, considerable attention was given to neutrinos as well as to other crucial aspects of high-energy physics, as these proceedings clearly show.

On behalf of the Scientific Committee I would like to thank the local organizing committee, the technical staff and students involved in the local organization, Gino Saitta and Walter Bonivento for editing these proceedings and gratefully acknowledge the financial contribution and support of INFN, the University of Cagliari, CAEN and Hamamatsu.
