The Archaeological Expedition

The collaboration between University of Florence and Yerevan State University began in 2010, within the EU Enpi project “Liaisons for Growth”, devoted to fostering social-economic development through a Public Archaeology approach. The cooperation further developed into a research partnership agreement (2013-18) for investigating medieval Silk Road cultural landscapes in Armenia. Since 2014 the research project is funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and co-funded by the two Universities. Starting from 2017 the collaboration is supported also in the framework of Erasmus+ KA107.
