First principle studies of electronic structure and energetics in bulk materials, inter- faces and surfaces.
• Semiconductor/semiconductor and metal/semiconductor interfaces: potential barrier, band alignment at heterojunctions and their dependence on epitaxial strain, growth direction, intrinsic polarity. Band tuning in semiconductors for device applications.
• Superconductivity: ab-initio study of electronic properties of several different compounds (high critical temperature compounds and conventional supercon- ductors) effects of dopants and substitutions.
• Application and extensions of density functional theory to the superconduct- ing state.

The results of her research activity have been published in international peer reviewed journals with referees (more than 150 publications) and presented at several international conferences. Referee of various specialized journals, such as: Physical Review (Letters, PRB), APL, IOP-Physics and Elsevier-Physics journals.
