INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
WARNING! To prevent shock hazard do not connect to any power outlet.
LUMED® patient cables are compatible with all types of equipment specified to use with the cable.
It is important to follow the recommended connection procedure to the equipment. To disconnect the cable, pull on the plug itself, not on the cable. Before you use the equipment carefully check compatibility and function of the cable.
Keeping cables in a clean condition: LUMED® patient Cable and Leadwire
Systems may be cleaned by wiping with a cloth dampened with a solution of warm and a mild detergent or green soap tincture.
Do not submerge LUMED® cables and leadwires for prolonged periods. After
cleaning, the Cables and Leadwires should be wiped with water and dried with a clean cloth. When wiping clean, hold the cable in one hand at the body and wipe the cable toward the plug or the connector. Excessive pressure could stretch the cable jacket and break the internal wires, destroying the cable.
Avoid contact with strong, aromatic, chlorinated, ketone, ether or ester solvents.
Prolonged immersion in alcohols or mild solvents, detergent solutions or highly alkaline solutions will cause the vinyl to lose flexibility.
Disinfecting the cables: Cables and leadwires may be disinfected by wiping with disinfectants
containing ethanol (70%-80%), propanol (70%-80%) , aldehydes (2%-4%), activated dialdehyde (Cidex) or sodium hypoclorite (bleach diluted 1:10 minimum in water). Do not use organic solvents.
After washing, cables should be wiped with water and then dried with clean cloth.
Sterilization: Ethylene Oxide (EtO) may be used to sterilize LUMED® patient
cables and leadwires. After sterilization, cables must be safely and thoroughly ventilated before handling or use. Do not autoclave LUMED® Cables and Leadwires.

• Never immerse plugs and/or cables into any liquid.
• As with all medical equipment, carefully route cables to reduce the possibility of patient entanglement or strangulation.
• Never expose cables to strong ultra-violet radiation.
• Before using the cables and plugs, carefully check that they show no damage or abnormality.
• Clean or disinfect the cable before attaching to a new patient.
• Do not autoclave LUMED® Cables and leadwires.
• Medical devices should be connected and activated by qualified personnel only.

Die Patientenkabel von LUMED® sind mit allen Geräten, für die sie entwickelt worden sind, kompatibel.
Es ist vor allem wichtig, die Kennzeichnung und Reihenfolge beim Anschluß der Kable an die Geräte zu befolgen, um das Anzeigesystem nicht zu stören. Zum Lösen der Kabel ziehen Sie bitte direkt am Stecker. Niemals an den Leitungen ziehen. Vor jeder Verwendung muß gründlich überprüft werden, ob das Kabel im Zusammenhang mit dem Gerät verwendbar ist und funktioniert.
Reinigung: Zum Reinigen der Kabel und Ableitungssysteme von LUMED® diese mit einem Tuch abwishen, das mit einer Lösung aus warmem Wasser und mildem Reinigungsmittel oder
Kalischmierseifentinktur angefeuchete wurde. Die Kabel und Ableitungssysteme von LUMED®nicht einweichen. Nach der Reinigung die Kabel und Ableitungsdrähte mit Wasser abwischen und einem sauberen Tuch trocknen. Halten Sie die Kabel zum Säubern mit einer Hand an der Körper fest, und wischen Sie die Kabel in Richtung Stecker ab. Zu starker Druck kann durch Überdehnung des Kabelmantels zum Reißen der Inne ndrähte und damit zur Zerstörung der Kable führen.
Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt die Kabel mit starken, aromatischen, chlor-, keton-, ätherund esterhaltigen Lösungsmitteln. Längeres Eintauchen der Kabel in Alkohole oder milde organishe Lösungsmittel, Reinigungslösungen oder hochalkalische Lösungen führt zum Verlust der Flexibilität des Vinylmantels.
Desinfektion: Die Kabel und Ableitungsdrähte können zur Desinfektion mit desinfektionsmitteln wie Ethanoll (70%-80%), propanol (70%-80%), Aldehyden(2%-4%), aktiviertem Dialdehyd oder Natriumhypochlorit (Bleichmittel mit Wasser verdünnt in einem Mindest- Verdünnungsverhältnis von 1:10) angewischen werden. Keine organischen Lösungsmittel verwenden. Nach der
Desinfektion Kabel und Ableitungsdrähte mit Wasser abwischen und einem sauberen Tuch trocknen.
Sterilisation:
Kabel und Ableitungsdrähte von LUMED®können mit Ethylenoxid sterilisiert
werden. Nach der Sterilisation müssen die Kabel von der weiteren Handhabung oder Verwendung sicher und gründlich belüftet werden. LUMED®Kabel und Ableitungsdrähte dürfen nicht im Autoklaven sterilisiert
werden.
Achtung!
• Tauchen Sie Kabel oder Steckverbinder niemals in Flüssigkeiten.
• Wie bie allen medizinischen Geräten sind die Verbindungskabel zum Patienten mit äußerster
• Sorgfalt so anzulegen, dass der Patient sich nicht mit ihnen verwickeln kann.
• Schützen Sie die Kabel vor starker UV -Strahlung. Vergewissern Sie sich vor jeder Anwendung, dass Kabel und Steckverbindungen keine Beschädigungen bzw. untypische Veränderung aufweisen und gereinigt sind!
• Vor dem Benutzung des kables an einem anderen Patienten den kable reinigen oder disinfizieren.
• Kabel und Ableitungsdrähte dürfen nicht im Autoklaven sterilisiert werden.
• Anschluß und Inbetriebsetzung der Geräte sind nur hochqualifiziertem Personal vorbehalten.

ISTRUZIONI PER L’USO
ATTENZIONE! Per prevenire rischi di folgorazione non collegare nessuna fonte di corrente.
I cavi paziente LUMED® sono compatibili con tutti i tipo di strumento indicati.
È importante che siano rispettate la procedura di connessione raccomandata. Per disconnettere il cavo, tirare gentilmente il connettore, senza esercitare sforzi direttamente sul cavo. Prima di utilizzare un cavo verificare attentamente che il cavo stesso sia indicato per l’uso con l’apparecchio in esame.
Pulizia dei cavi: i cavi paziente e le terminazioni LUMED® possono essere trattati con una soluzione di acqua tiepida e detergente non aggressivo. Il cavo può essere pulito con un panno morbido. Non immergere i cavi paziente e le terminazioni LUMED® per un periodo prolungato. Dopo la pulizia, i cavi paziente e le
terminazioni LUMED® devono essere asciugati con un panno pulito. Per
asciugare il cavo, tenerlo dal partitore derivazioni e muovere il panno verso il connettore o verso le terminazioni.
Evitare il contatto con detergenti aggressivi e con solventi aromatici, clorati, chetoni, etere o esteri. La flessibilità dei cavi paziente e delle terminazioni LUMED®
viene diminuita sensibilmente dall’immersione prolungata in soluzioni aggressive,quali soluzioni alcooliche o fortemente alkaline, solventi di media forza, soluzioni detergenti.
Disinfezione : i cavi paziente e le terminazioni LUMED® possono essere trattati con disinfettanti
contenenti etanolo (70%-80%), propanolo (70%-80%), aldeidi (2%-4%), dialdeidi attivate (Cidex) oppure ipoclorito di Sodio (Candeggina in soluzione acquosa 1:10). Non utilizzare solventi organici. Dopo il lavaggio, sciacquare i cavi con acqua e asciugarli con un panno pulito.
Sterilizzazione : i cavi paziente e le terminazioni LUMED® possono essere
sterilizzati con Ossido di Etilene (EtO). Dopo la sterilizzazione ventilare adeguatamente il cavo prima dell’uso.
I cavi paziente e le terminazioni LUMED® NON possono essere sterilizzate in autoclave.
Attenzione !
· non immergere i cavi paziente ne i connettori LUMED® in un qualsiasi liquido.
· disporre i cavi e le terminazioni in modo che il paziente o gli operatori non si impiglino.
· non esporre il cavo o le terminazioni a radiazioni ultraviolette troppo intense.
· prima di usare i cavi e le terminazioni verificare che questi non siano danneggiati.
· pulire o disinfettare il cavo e le terminazioni prima di applicarlo ad un nuovo paziente.
· non autoclavare i cavi paziente e le terminazioni LUMED®.
· non immergere i cavi paziente e le terminazioni LUMED® in nessun liquido.
· i cavi paziente e le terminazioni LUMED® possono essere usati o manipolati da solo personale qualificato.
MODE D’EMPLOI
ATTENTION! Pour votre sécurité ne jamais raccorder le câble sur un réseau électrique.
Le câbles patient de LUMED® ne sont compatible qu’avec l’équipement conçus à
cet effet. Il est également important de suivre la procédure de raccordement des différentes parties du câble. Pour déconnecter le câble de l’appareil, tirer sur le connecteur et non sur les brins. Avant chaque utilisation, vérifier que l’Equipment est compatible avec le câble et la fonction du câble.
Nettoyage : Pour nettoyer les Systems de câbles et fils conducteurs LUMED®, les essuyer à l’aide d’un chiffon légèrement imbibé d’une solution d’eau tiède et d’un produit détergent doux ou d’une teinture de savon vert. Ne pas submerger les câbles et les fils conducteurs LUMED® de façon prolongée. Une fois nettoyés, les câbles et les fils conducteurs doivent être essuyés avec un chiffon imbibe d’eau, puis séchés à l’aide d’un chiffon propre. Lors du nettoyage des câbles, les tenir par Dun tronc dans une main, et essuyer les câbles et le cordon d’un mouvement allant vers conducteurs. Une pression excessive peut
être la gaine du câble et briser ses composants internes, ce qui peut détruire le câble. Eviter le contact avec des solvants puissants, aromatiques ou chlorés, la cétone, l’éther ou l’ester.
L’immersion prolongée dans des alcools ou des solvants organiques doux, des solutions détergentes ou hautement alcalines provoquent une perte de flexibilité du vinyle.
Désinfection: Désinfecter les câbles en les lavant avec des désinfectants contenant de l’éthanal (70% à 80%), du propane (70% à 80%), des aldéhydes (2% à 4%), du dialdéhyde active ou de l’hypochlorite de sodium (eau de Javel diluée à au moins 1:10). Ne pas utiliser des solvants organiques. Après désinfection, les câbles et les fils conducteurs doivent être essuyé avec un chiffon imbibe d’eau, puis séchés à l’aide d’un chiffon propre.
Stérilisation: Les câbles et fils conducteurs LUMED® peuvent etre stérilisez à l’oside d’éthylène (EtO). Après la stérilisation, les câbles et fils conducteurs LUMED® doivent être ventilé en Coface avant portage ou utilisation.
Ne pas stériliser les câbles et fils conducteurs LUMED® en autoclave.
Attention!
• Ne jamais plonger les câbles, ni les connecteurs dans un liquide !
• Disposer soigneusement les câbles pour minimiser les risques de formation de nœuds ou d’enroulement autour du patient.
• Ne pas exposer le câble et fils conducteurs a un rayonnement ultra-violet intense !
• Avant de chaque utilisation vérifier l’état et al qualité du câble.
• Nettoyez et désinfectez le câble avant de l’utiliser sur un nouveau patient.
• Ne pas stériliser les câbles et fils conducteurs LUMED® en autoclave.
• Les dispositifs doivent être branches et mis en service par un personnel qualifié.
