Abstract
Strategically located in the north coast of Java, Cirebon is one of the national activity centers, a center of growth for other cities in the surrounding area. Currently, various infrastructure projects are built in the region. Resulting a very high increase of social mobility. In the midst of rapid economic growth, the temperature and climate in Cirebon were increasing. Public green open space of the city is not in accordance with the rules which has only reached 10.4% (2019), approximately 400 ha deficit to reach the target of 20%.
Despite of its history as one of powerful port city in Indonesia, Cirebon has developed a disconnection and gap between the city center and the coastal area. The 7 km long shoreline is suffered from severe damage and pollution due to high density slum and squatter. The shore is heavily contaminated with piled household waste, resulting the loss of beach area. The lack of mangrove forest causes high levels of coastal abrasion and sedimentation, intrusion of sea water, reduction in marine habitat and water quality.
This project focuses to reconnect the city and the seafront, and restore the damaged habitat. The strategy is to provide direct view corridors to the seafront, compact and balanced resettlement, restore green and open spaces in the waterfronts, and create centers of activity. The key element is waste landfill hills as the solution of the waste management problem. By creating new linear park consist of landfill hills which are constructed with existing waste and demolition ruins.

Strategicamente situato nella costa settentrionale di Giava, Cirebon è uno dei centri di attività nazionali, un centro di crescita per altre città nell'area circostante. Attualmente, vari progetti infrastrutturali sono realizzati nella regione. Con conseguente aumento molto elevato della mobilità sociale. Nel mezzo di una rapida crescita economica, la temperatura e il clima a Cirebon stavano aumentando. Lo spazio verde pubblico della città non è conforme alle regole che hanno raggiunto solo il 10,4% (2019), circa 400 ha un deficit per raggiungere l'obiettivo del 20%.
Nonostante la sua storia come una delle città portuali potenti in Indonesia, Cirebon ha sviluppato una disconnessione e divario tra il centro città e l'area costiera. Il litorale lungo 7 km è gravemente danneggiato e inquinato da baraccopoli ad alta densità e squatter. La costa è fortemente contaminata da rifiuti domestici accumulati, con conseguente perdita della spiaggia. La mancanza di foreste di mangrovie provoca alti livelli di abrasione e sedimentazione costiera, intrusione di acqua di mare, riduzione dell'habitat marino e qualità dell'acqua.
Questo progetto si concentra per riconnettere la città e il lungomare e ripristinare l'habitat danneggiato. La strategia è quella di fornire corridoi a vista diretta sul lungomare, un reinsediamento compatto ed equilibrato, ripristinare spazi verdi e aperti nei waterfront e creare centri di attività. L'elemento chiave sono le colline delle discariche di rifiuti come soluzione al problema di gestione dei rifiuti. Creando un nuovo parco lineare costituito da colline discariche che sono costruite con i rifiuti esistenti e le rovine di demolizione.
