IL PRESENT CONTINUOUS SI USA:
- con valore di future per parlare di un’azione programmata che avverrà con certezza;
- spesso espressini temporali
(es. Tomorrow, next week, in two days’ time, this morning…, tonight) con il valore di futuro; - con valore di future con I verbi COME, GO e LEAVE.
LA FORMA BE GOING TO SI USA PER ESPRIMERE:
- intenzioni e progetti per il futuro, ma senza una pianificazione precisa;
- decisioni per il future prese in precedenza;
- previsioni basate
sull’osservazione di fatti. In italiano si traduce con “stare per”.
IL FUTURO CON WILL SI USA:
- per fare previsioni basate su un’opinione con perhaps (forse),
probably (probabilamente), I think-expect (credo, penso), imagine
(immagino), be sure, don’t think,
never-ever;
- per indicare eventi future che sono certi perchè dipendono da fatti sempre veri;
- per offrire di fare qualche cosa; - per fare promesse;
- per decisioni prese sul momento non premeditate;
- per fare richieste;
- per fissure appuntamenti; - per esprimere rifiuto.
