Caratterizzazione dinamica del telaio del Monster S4R

Sommario.

Dynamic characterization of the Monster S4R’s frame

Abstract.

Aim of work, developed in collaboration with DUCATI S.p.A., was the modal analysis of the Monster S4R’s frame. The analysis was conducted both with the Finite Element Method and by experimental tests. In Finite Element analysis two models of frame has been developed, using two different element types; the structure’s behaviour was analyzed for different boundary conditions. For experimental analysis two virtual instruments were developed in LabVIEW environment. On the base of the results, the frequency response function(FRF) of the structure was identified from 10 Hz to 1000 Hz; the first modal shapes of structure were also reconstructed. The comparison between experimental data and finite element analysis results allowed to do a critical analysis of finite element models and to validate them.
