The pandemic was an accelerator of change, through the emergency, the
distances and the global homologation to which we were getting used to in recent years have evened out.
The products must be longer-lived and less fashionable, and cheaper, taking into account the limited availability of people’s resources.
Precise choices that leave no doubt about the identity and economic value of the product.
We will be more intelligent, prudent and less voracious;
We will look for durable products, with a refined and sustainable design, with the reuse of waste or natural materials.
We will prefer objects that are compatible with the ecosystem.
Our home becomes central to life, less minimal and more comfortable, a protected NEST, even for working. New needs
determined by the way of living the spaces of the house, but above all public, more ethical and sustainable.
The garden has become a MUST, and its spaces and products that furnish it, even more important.

Unnecessary di cosa abbiamo veramente il bisogno?
Acquisteremo meno e meglio. Meno prodotti ma con piu senso.
La pandemia e’ stata un acceleratore di cam- biamenti, mediante l’emergenza, si sono uni- formate le distanze, e l’omologazione globale a cui ci stavamo abituando negli ultimi anni.
I prodotti dovranno essere piu longevi e meno modaioli, e piu economici, che tenga- no conto della limitata disponibilita’ di risorse delle persone.
Scelte precise che non lascino dubbi sull’i- dentita’ ed il valore economico del prodotto.
Saremo piu intelligenti, oculati e meno vora- ci; Ricercheremo prodotti durevoli, dal design ricercato e sostenibile, con il riuso dei mate- riali di scarto o naturali.
Prediligeremo oggetti Ecompatibili con l’Eco- sistema.
La nostra casa diventa centrale nella vita, meno minimal e piu confortevole, un NIDO protetto, anche per lavorare. Nuove esigen- ze determinate dal modo di vivere gli spazi di casa, ma soprattutto pubblici, piu etiche e sostenibili.
Il giardino e’ diventato un MUST, ed i suoi
spazi e prodotti che lo arredano, ancora piu
importanti.
ITFDESIGN has chosen to take sides in defense of the planet. It has done so and continues to do so every day with concrete actions, through investments in more
advanced technologies and production choices that respond to eco-sustainability logics.
Because after all, although our products are the result of a complex and technologically advanced industrial process, they are born from natural or recycled, and above all recyclable, raw materials.
Like CERAMIC that remains a natural product. A simple recipe, made of a few essential elements such as earth, water and fire, allows to obtain a resistant and versatile pro- duct, practical and hygienic, which boasts a high value in terms of beauty and design.
Like plastic polymers.
PLASTIC is not a DEMON, capable of invading the world by destroying it, intoxicating it, contaminating it to the point of becoming part of the food chain. Up to kill. But how many lives has plastic saved?
Can you imagine a life without plastic today? Blood bags, syringes, sterile gloves, computer linings and many life-saving tools, cardiovascular stants, many hip and breast prostheses, glasses, the same contact lenses for the eyes!
If used well, plastic can really be essential for our everyday products, including furniture. We just need to learn how to recycle it. It is good.
Like METALS.
Which are the easiest to recycle, and which allow us today to create durable products with almost zero impact. We use steel and aluminum. The latter in particular guarantees 100% recyclability, infinite times: it is in fact a metal with a thousand lives.
And his majesty is WOOD.
Wood is a natural, renewable, ecological and sustainable material, with a life cycle that respects the environment. We are obviously FSC certified, the certification mark that guarantees that the entire wood-paper supply chain is certified and derives from environmentally friendly, socially useful and economically sustainable forest management.
All the more so if the production chain dialogues with the environment in a responsible manner: reducing the need for raw materials, recycling water and processing waste, using renewable energy and managing them with high-efficiency systems. Essentially reducing the ecological footprint that industrial production leaves on the planet’s surface.
We therefore began to certify our products, with an environmental identity card, which guarantees that the chosen product has made use of recycled materials in a certain percentage, and will then be recyclable in the future.
ITFDESIGN ha scelto di schierarsi in difesa del pianeta. Lo ha fatto e continua a farlo ogni giorno con azioni concrete, attraverso investimenti in tecnologie più evolute e scelte produttive che rispondono a logiche di ecosostenibilità.
Perché in fondo, pur essendo i nostri prodotti il risultato di un processo industriale complesso e tecnologicamente avanzato, nascono da materie prime naturali o riciclate, e soprattutto riciclabili.
Come la Ceramica che resta un prodotto naturale. Una ricetta semplice, fatta di pochi elementi essenziali come terra, acqua e fuoco, consente di ottenere un prodotto resistente e versatile, pratico e igienico, che vanta un elevato valore in termini di bellezza e design.
Come i polimeri plastici.
PLASTIC is not a DEMONIO, in grado di invadere il mondo distruggendolo, intossicandolo, contaminandolo a tal punto da entrare a far parte della catena alimentare. Fino a uccidere. Ma quante vite ha salvato la plastica?
Riuscite a immaginarvi, oggi, una vita senza la plastica?
Sacche per il sangue, siringhe, guanti sterili, i rivestimenti dei computer e dei tanti strumenti salva-vita, gli stant cardiovascolari, tante protesi dell’anca, del seno, gli occhiali, le stesse lenti a contatto per gli occhi!
Se utilizzata bene, la plastica puo’ davvero esser fondamentale per i nostri prodotti di uso quotidiano, compreso l’arredo. Dobbiamo solo imparare a riciclarla. E bene.
Come i METALLI.
Che sono i piu facili da riciclare, e che ci permettono oggi di realizzare prodotti durevoli e ad impatto quasi zero. Noi usiamo l’acciaio e l’alluminio. Quest’ultimo in particolare garantisce una riciclabilità del 100%, infinite volte: è di fatto un metallo dalle mille vite.
E sua maesta’ il LEGNO.
Il legno è un materiale naturale, rinnovabile, ecologico e sostenibile, con un ciclo vitale che rispetta l’ambiente.
Siamo ovviamente certificati FSC, il marchio di certificazione che garantisce che l’intera filiera legno-carta sia certificata e derivi da una gestione forestale rispettosa dell’ambiente, socialmente utile ed economicamente sostenibile.
Tanto più se la filiera produttiva dialoga con l’ambiente in maniera responsabile: riducendo il fabbisogno di materie prime, riciclando acque e scarti di lavorazione, impiegando energie rinnovabili e gestendole con impianti ad alta efficienza. Riducendo in sostanza l’impronta ecologica che la produzione industriale imprime sulla superficie del pianeta.
Abbiamo quindi inziato a certificare i nostri prodotti, con una carta d’identita’ ambientale, che garantisce che il prodotto scelto, ha usufruito di materiali riciclati in una determinata percentuale, e sara’ poi riciclabile in futuro.

The extruded aluminum of the slats / seat combined with the steel of the base create a solid and robust product, but at the same time light.
100% compatible, Macaia it can be customized in different finishes with a epoxy powder for outdoor following the RAL or PANTONE scales.
