ENGLISH PROGRAM

The International Dental Law and Ethics Congress will be held in Firenze from October 20 to 22, 2005 on a contemporary and internationally significant topic, Conflict of interests. Such conflicts will be examined from different international perspectives.

Potential conflicts will be assessed in the relationship between the care givers and patients, among dental professionals and institutions, as well as those that arise in dental education and research.

The congress will foster discussions on specific issues of dental ethics and law, including professionalism, informed consent and legal liability.

These lively debates will be spearheaded by speakers from around the world, representing multiple scientific and cultural contexts.

Together with the Firenze University, ANDI and IDEALS, we are committed to the highest level of scientific discussion and cultural appreciation. Firenze is pleased to share its beauties and to welcome such important guests.

PROGRAMMA IN ITALIANO

Il congresso Internazionale del Dental Law and Ethics si terrà a Firenze del 20 al 22 ottobre 2005. Il tema prescelto, di particolare attualità e significato a livello internazionale, è rappresentato dal “Conflitto di interessi” e sara’ esaminato nelle molteplici prospettive odontoiatriche. Situazioni potenziali di “conflitto” saranno considerate, nell’ambito del rapporto fra il professionista ed il paziente, il professionista ed i colleghi, le istituzioni, la ricerca, l’insegnamento nelle diverse prospettive nazionali. All’interno del Convegno sara’ dato anche spazio a sedi di dibattito inerenti la professione odontoiatrica ed i più tradizionali temi della deontologia e dell’etica professionale, quali il consenso informato ed il contenzioso in responsabilità professionale. La partecipazione di speakers di livello internazionale proveniente da molteplici ambiti scientifico-culturali garantisce il livello del dibattito e la qualità della trattazione sul piano giuridico ed etico.
