DISCRETE EVENT SYSTEMS 2016/17

Procedure for obtaining and delivering a project

1) Form groups of four people max. Groups can be mixed, i.e. formed by students from different MSc programmes.

2) Send an email to <

paoletti@dii.unisi.it>

with the names of the components of the group and their email addresses.

3) As soon as possible, you will receive an email with the project assignment and instructions.

4) When the project is ready (the final deadline is the end of February), send an email to the email address above asking for a date to discuss the project. Please attach to the email:

 a report where you describe how you accomplished the project (theoretical tools used, simulation techniques applied, etc.) and the results you obtained (use figures and/or tables to explain the results);

 software code.

5) All members of the group must be present for the discussion of the project.

Remarks

 Students remaining without a group are invited to inform the Instructor, that will collect all requests and help form the groups.

 The oral test cannot be taken before the discussion of the project.

 Students who have/wish to repeat the Midterm test in February, can discuss the project but

cannot take the oral test until they have passed the Midterm test.
