Abstract
The Bavarian History Museum which explores the ability of architecture and urban planning to spread a cultural event, so that it leads to optimism and a contrasting pleasure drive between the river, the museum, the city and the public in general. Taking advantage of the excellent location on the Danube and close to the cathedral, the new museum is an urban landmark that reveals his historical narrative in its interior
The new building steps back from the existing building line to create a public space as a dialogue between the river and the new museum. The building blends in parallel to the Danube to the property and thus reconstructs the ancient image of the store, which once occupied the entire area.In addition, the new building completes the skyline by connecting with the underlying development in a chain of references and citations. The Museum of the Bavarian culture is at the heart of Regensburg on the Danube river. This position requires a strategic intervention, which is to function as a catalyst to transform the entire environment. The building is to be more than a Konservierungsort of culture, it is considered to be a living part of the sculpture itself Bavarian culture.
Starting from an Urban and Architectural scales, and reaching to the design of the building structure and details, Environmental and sustainability issues dominate the design of Bavarian Museum in every steps in order to achieve the goal of reaching zero footprint.
