International Conference of the Online University Giustino Fortunato of Benevento (Italy), the University Isabel I of Burgos (Spain) and IRCCS Mondino Foundation of Pavia (Italy).

The the Online University Giustino Fortunato, the University Isabel I of Burgos and IRCCS Mondino Foundation want to stimulate a debate on the use of technology in modern society. In particular, organisers invite academics and researchers to reflect on new technologies currently available on the market; on the possibilities offered by them to respond to the needs of individuals and communities; on the opportunities and risks resulting from their use; on the different harmonisation strategies of new technologies within the other scientific and humanistic disciplines.

In this context, the call on the subject “Technology and Innovation: New Ways to Perform Known Activities?” is issued.

This call for papers is aimed at highlighting analysis and deepenings on one or more of the areas of interest mentioned above. The topics to be addressed, relating to all university disciplines (law, economics, engineering, medicine, informatics, psychology etc.), include:

- Smart contracts - Internet law - Digital signatures - Digital administration

- Online trials and technologic innovation - Privacy

- On-line payments - Network economics - AI and marketing

- AI and organisation of the firm - Artificial v Human intelligence - Neural Web

- Virtual Reality

- Assessment and Intervention

- Technology supporting teaching: mediation and media-tion of teaching - Influence of new technologies on evidence

- Virtual testing

- Firm administration and technological innovation - Information and IT systems in healthcare

- Innovation for training - Educational design

In any case, the call for papers is open to further issues related to technology.

Those who intend to present a paper in one of the conference sessions will have to send, via e-mail, an abstract, in English, not exceeding 1.000 words, containing a brief summary of the theme that will be discussed in the paper.The deadline for abstract submission, to be sent via email to call2020@unifortunato.eu, is 5 November 2020.

The Scientific Committee assesses the proposals received and communicates results by 15 November2020.

If the abstract is accepted, the author must send his/her paper, written in English and not exceeding 7.000 words (bibliography included), by email to call2020@unifortunato.eu on or before 28 February 2021, for the purposes of the relative publication.

The international conference will take place in Benevento, at the seat of the Online University Giustino Fortunato, 15 and 16 December 2020 and it will be possible also participate via streaming or by sending a recorded intervention. In the case of impossibility to carry out the conference at the venue, due to the rules of conduct dictated by reason of the emergency COVID 19, the conference will be heldexclusively by telematic means and it will be possible to participate also instreaming or sending the recording of your intervention that will bemade available on the page dedicated to the event.

Discussion of the abstractor the paper at the conference is facultative and may be carried out either in English, Italian, French or Spanish. Participation to the conference may be performed in streaming or by recorded presentation.

Publication

Papers, written in English, will be published in Conference Proceedings, copyrighted with ISBN, with aninternational publisher, edited by the Universities Giustino Fortunato and Isabel I and by theMondino Foundation, with anonymous peer review.

Other information

Travel and accommodation costs must be covered by participants. Under exceptional cases, the Scientific Committee may propose the coverage of travel and accommodation costs.
