STUDIO DI UN PARASTRAPPI PER LA RIDUZIONE DELLE

VIBRAZIONI NELLA TRASMISSIONE DI UN MOTORSCOOTER

SOMMARIO: Questa tesi, svolta in collaborazione con Piaggio & C S.p.A., è

finalizzata allo studio di un sistema capace di ridurre le vibrazioni torsionali della trasmissione di un motorscooter, in modo da poter migliorare il comfort di marcia. Come possibile soluzione si è pensato di inserire all’interno della drive line un parastrappi. Sono stati dapprima definiti diversi modelli a parametri concentrati a più gradi di libertà capaci di simulare la risposta dinamica dell’intera drive line. Successivamente sono state effettuate delle simulazioni negli ambienti: Simulink®, un tool applicativo del pacchetto Matlab®7.0, e MSC.ADAMS®. E’ stata valutata l’influenza del parastrappi sul comportamento dinamico dei sistemi realizzati, al variare delle sue caratteristiche e della sua posizione all’interno della drive.

STUDY OF A TORSIONAL DAMPER FOR THE REDUCTION OF

VIBRATIONS IN A MOTORSCOOTER DRIVE LINE

ABSTRACT: The object of this thesis, carried out in collaboration with Piaggio & C

S.p.A., was to study a system for the reduction of the torsional vibrations of a motorscooter drive line, in order to improve the ride comfort. The insertion of a torsional damper inside the drive line was considered a possible solution. In the first phase different lumped parameters models aimed at simulating the dynamic response of the whole drive line, have been defined. In the second phase, some simulation was carried out by using: Simulink®, an application tool of the Matlab®7.0 package, and MSC.ADAMS®. The influence of the torsional damper on the dynamical behaviour was analyzed, considering the variation of its position inside the drive line and of its torsional stiffness.
