10-13 gennaio 2018 - Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra – Pisa. The 4.2 Ka BP event: an international workshop. The ca. 4.2 - 3.9 ka BP abrupt aridification and cooling event is recorded globally, in many cases at high-resolution, but its causes, precise timing, qualities and quantification remain enigmatic. A 3-day "4.2 ka BP event international workshop" will be held at the
Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra (Università di Pisa), to present and discuss:
1. New high-resolution data for the quantification of the event, its dating, abruptness, magnitude and duration;
2. New syntheses of the event's regional climatic manifestations;
3. Spatio-temporal explanations and modelling of the event.
The workshop will be free of charge.

2 9-13 luglio 2018 – Paris (France). 5th edition of the International Palaeontological Congress.
The organizing structure is the Parisian Center of Palaeontological Research (CR2P), a research group supported by the National Museum of Natural History (MNHN), the University Pierre and Marie Curie (UPMC - Paris 6) and the CNRS (National Scientific Research Center). Palaeontologists from other institutions in France (Universities of Burgundy, Lyon, Montpellier, Poitiers, Toulouse, Nantes, Brest, Rennes, Lille and the Natural History Museums) are also involved with the organization. Deadline for early bird registration: December 31st, 2017; deadline for abstract submission: February 15th, 2018. Deadline for second wave registration: March 31st, 2018. 12-17 agosto 2018 - University College Dublin, Ireland. 10th European Palaeobotany and Palynology Conference (EPPC2018) - Abstracts are submitted via an online submission system. Please note that at least one author must register in full to attend and present the abstract at the Congress and that an author must not present more than two presentations (either oral or poster). The abstract submission deadline is 31st January 2018 .
