Si tratta di una rassegna itinerante ospite di molteplici strutture che offre l’opportunitá di conoscere in breve tempo la Val Badia, seguendo il filo conduttore della musica.
Ci si trova così in ritoranti, piazze, teatri, hotels, “castelli”, pub e cocktail bar che diventano punti di riferimento degli amanti della musica e della montagna.
Non dimentichiamoci di teatri e sale manifestazioni, strade e piazze dei paesi, che a loro volta vengono colorati di musica.
Organizzato in collaborazione con Uniun Musicala y Culturala Ladina. Hanno suonato per Val Badia Jazz dal 1999 musicisti e formazioni italiane ed internazionali.

The festival is a summer season of jazz, funk, blues & pop music held at various venues in Val Badia, giving visitors a quick tour of the valley in time to the music.
It is an occasion for lovers of music and the mountains to get together and indulge their passion for music in restaurants, village squares, theatres, hotels, “castles”, pubs and cocktail bars.
During this period theatres, village halls, squares and streets will reverberate to the sound of superb music.
The festival is organised in collaboration with the Uniun Musicala y Culturala Ladina, and since it started in 1999 top acts from both Italy and abroad have thrilled audiences at Val Badia Jazz.

Das Val Badia Jazzfestival ist eine musikalische Wanderung durch das facettenreiche Gadertal. Die Strassen, Theater, Schlösser und Plätze der Ortschaften werden in den Tagen des Festivals mit anspruchsvollen Melodien verziert und auch die Bars und Hotels sind Gastgeber für so manchen musikalischen Hochgenuss. Musik- und Bergliebhaber können sich von den dargebotenen Live-Acts in malerischer Szenerie abwechselnd mitreissen und bezaubern lassen.
Seit 1999 wird das Val Badia Jazzfestival gepflegt und organisiert unter der Mitwirkung von der Uniun Musicala y Culturala Ladina. Neben hochwertigen italienischen Formationen wirken auch internationale Musikergrößen beim Festival mit.
Zahlreiche Künstler wie Andrea Pozza, Mauro Ottolini, Gianni Basso, Claudio Filippini, Gianni Cazzola, Francesco Bearzatti, Enrico Crivellaro, Nick Becattini, Slide Hampton, James Thompson (Zucchero), Dilene Ferraz, Vincent Williams, Alan Farrington, Kay Foster Jackson, Peaches Staten etc...haben in den letzten Jahren die Besucher des Festivals bewegt und begeistert.

Soul and Jazz are the most significant elements, but with a peculiarity: he manages to make all his compositions pleasantly "pop". His original talent was soon spotted by Paolo Scotti, who became a close friend of Fabio as well as a entering into a working relationship that has lasted for years. Fabio composes explosive tracks, filled with complicated chords, while at the same time creating over the, harmonious and easy-listening melodies. He's a versatile musician. He plays drums, percussions, bass, guitar, vibraphone and the piano, on which he composes. Fabio has studied harmony and composition on his own and arranges and directs his music himself. In some recordings, he plays all the instruments, drawing ideas and suggestions from world famous artists. This inspires him and gives him a lot of pleasure.

Dieses Duo hat sich mittlerweile voll ineinander verschweisst. Akustischer Pop trifft Wiegenlieder, Funk und eine Prise Jazz. Es ergibt sich eine musikalische Persönlichkeit, welche jegliche Musikrichtung mit ungeheurem Appetit verschlingt und es in angemessener Form wieder von sich gibt. Chris Costa ist kein unbeschriebenes Blatt in der italienischen Jazzszene. Seine Liebe gilt dem Pop ebenso wie der freien Improvisation, mit Leidenschaft kultiviert er einen tiefen Zugang zum Jazz.
Chris Costa präsentiert ein gewähltes Repertoire an bekannten Coverversionen und serviert zur Krönung des Abends die Eigenkompositionen seines letzten Albums "Caress".

Tra continui scorci di XX secolo e percorsi in bilico tra la vecchia New Orleans e una Parigi prebellica, melodia e tensione ritmica si avvicendano in Hot Bow intrecciando all'invenzione pittorica del violino la pulsazione incalzante di chitarra e contrabbasso. Con un groove elementare denso di riferimenti al jazz tradizionale, allo stride, alla musette e al folklore gitano, l’ensemble si confronta con il repertorio dello swing, degli standards e delle tradizioni popolari. In debito alle trascorse ed immaginifiche vicende artistiche dei tandem Venuti - Lang e Reinhardt - Grappelli, Hot Bow fa propria l'esperienza già direttamente maturata in altri importanti progetti di livello nazionale dedicati all'Hot Jazz da camera, intessendo nuovi legami con questa musica.

In a typical 20th century scene that stretches from old New Orleans to pre-war Paris, Hot Bow alternates melody and rhythmic tension thanks to the dialogue between the imaginative invention of the violin and the pulse of the guitar and the double bass. In an elemental groove rich in references to traditional Jazz, the stride style, the musette and to manouche culture, the ensemble offers a swinging repertory including standard and popular songs. Hot Bow boasts remarkable experiences developed in the context of important projects in Italy dedicated to Chamber Hot Jazz, and the band creates new connections with this music founded on the extraordinary artistic contribution of the duos Venuti – Lang and Reinhardt – Grappelli.
DEU In einem typischen Szenario des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts wechseln sich in der Musik von Hot Bow im kunstvollen Dialog zwischen der phantasievollen Führung der Geige und dem lebhaften Pulsschlag der Gitarre und des Kontrabasses Melodiosität und die rhythmische Spannung ab. Fondata su un repertorio di brani originali, la band si immerge nella maniera del contemporary blues dalla formazione classica: due chitarre, basso e batteria, dando vita ad un repertorio interamente originale (autore dei testi e voce è Enrico Sauda, le musiche sono della band) con sonorità influenzate dal blues ma costantemente alla ricerca di nuovi colori e contaminazioni rock, pop, reggae, così da rimanere svincolati dai classici idiomi della musica.
La Granny Says Band trova la sua dimensione più naturale dal vivo, dove propone uno show di sostanza ma anche di classe, che colpisce per il sound deciso e immediato, per gli ottimi arrangiamenti, per la sezione ritmica impeccabile e per le sonorità che difficilmente lasciano indifferenti, sia in territorio elettrico sia sul versate acustico.

Megaphon und jede Menge Spaß. Was einst in Villanders Ostern 2005 als reine Dixieband geplant war wuchs in kurzer Zeit zu einem
ausgereiften Ensemble heran, das seine Stücke selber arrangiert und vor keinem Musikstil halt macht. Das klassische Verständnis von Blasmusik wird gesprengt, Kompositionen in Einzelteile zerlegt und das Ganze Kopfüber wieder zusammengestellt.
