Riassunto
Si è costruito una camera televisiva il cui tubo analizzatore di
tipo
vidicon è adatto a scansioni lente.L'elemento centrale di controllo del processo di misura e dell'elaborazione dei dati è il
minicomputer PDP8/I
con relati¬va interface

L'esplorazione d'immagine
èdigitale
così da compensare la di¬minuzione del

Abstract
In this work a television camera was built with a slow scan vidicon tube.
The main eleraent of the
measuring system
and of the dataprocessing
used in this work was the smallcomputer PDP8/I
and thecorresponding
interface(IF
1 - PCETH).
A
digitai picture scanning
was used whichhelps
to avoida reduction in
signal amplitude
which would have been causedby
along
frame time.256 x
256
elements are scanned from eachimage (100
us for eachelement).
Thescanning
of512
x 512 elements would cause a reduction in signalamplitude.
The
Storage
characteristics of the tube TD 13^5-018 allow theintegration
of weaksignals during approximately
15 min.(static images).
Longer integration
times cause a consideratale decline of the resolutioncapability.
This ismainly
due to the influence of the dark current. The combination of the vidicon tube with an
image
converter tube(RCA 4-449A)
allows therecording
of emission andabsorption spectra
oflight
excited substances withprogrammed
exposure times and intervals. At the anode of the
image
converter appears animage
which isintegrated
and storedby
the vidiconphotolayer.
Then a successive slow
scanning
records the stored information.-

-The
good persistence
of the Pllphosphor
of the anode of theimage
converter tube allowsrecording
with the vidicon camera up to about 20 us exposure times. However,
thelight
intensities involved must behigh enough
to allow such arecording.
For shorter exposure times a more sensitive tube must be
used,
forexample
SEC-Intensifier WL 32000(Westinghouse).
The inertia characteristics of the
