Listening, storytelling and matchmaking:

let’s accelerate the transition towards climate neutral and resilient Alps

Are you willing to pool forces towards climate neutral and climate resilient Alps? Here is what we offer:

Wednesday, 11 March, 9.00 to 15.00

Join the Matchmaking Workshop of the Alpine Climate Board to take further steps towards the implementation of the Alpine Climate Target System 2050. Representatives of all sectors of activity in the Alps and from local to cross-border level are invited to embark on pathways for action. We will present the Board’s ideas of implementation pathways for ten sectors of the Alpine Climate Target System 2050, refine their timeframe together and especially seek commitment from the stakeholders to answer the question of: who implements?

Wednesday, 11 March, 3.00, to Thursday, 12 March, 08.30 to 12.30

You have heard so much about preventing climate change and adapting to it? People keep worrying and you hardly come up with anything witty to make them actually do more? You – even more – feel the need to talk about all this?

Well, join the Climate Communication Conference by ALPACA, an initiative of CIPRA International, Alliance in the Alps and the Alpine Town of the Year Association to strengthen the transregional exchange of knowledge and experience. Together we will figure out how to make citizens and decision makers move faster to reduce their impact on the climate and adapt to the changes!

What can you expect from the events? Inspiring international speakers, concrete implementation pathways and measures, speed dating, working groups, lively discussions and time to network

What do we expect from you? Active participation

Who is supporting us? The Matchmaking Workshop is an initiative of the Alpine Climate Board. The communication conference is funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and the Austrian Ministry of Sustainability and Tourism.

Questions? You can ask Katharina Gasteiger from Alliance in the Alps ([email protected]) and Katharina Zwettler from the Austrian Ministry of Sustainability and Tourism ([email protected])

Details of the programme, a link to register to one or both events as well as logistical information will be transmitted in January 2020.

Please apologize multiple mailings.

We wish you a splendid Christmas time and all the best for 2020, looking forward to seeing you
