CALL FOR PAPERS

Global Migrants, Global Diasporas

University of Florence, Italy

Deadline: 26 February 2006

The University of Florence, Boston College, and the Globalization Studies International Doctoral Network, in cooperation with Tesionline, are pleased to announce their 2006 conference on «Global Migrants, Global Diasporas», which will be held in Florence between Friday 26 and Saturday 27 May 2006. The sessions will take place at the University of Florence, Department of Historical and Geographical Studies.

We encourage submissions by graduate students working on any aspect of immigration. Two page proposals, and a brief C.V. should be submitted to daniel.mori@unifi.it by Sunday 26 February 2006. Please include “Global Migrants, Global Diasporas” in the subject line of your e-mails. Proposals and C.V.s should be sent as attached word documents.

Tesionline will award travel grants to successful applicants. The grants will help cover travel and accommodation costs. Successful applicants will be expected to email their papers by 1 May 2006. Questions may be directed to the grants coordinator, Daniel Mori, at the aforementioned e- mail address.
