The present thesis of degree is processing a subject pertinent to a project for the new football Stadium in Grosseto and the location in a suburban area of the city derives from indications included in the “Structural Plan of the Municipality of Grosseto” .
A first analysis develops a building typology study of football stadiums in general analyzing in depth for : historical mentions, architectural structure and position of the spaces; such analysis has contributed to deal with the project study with a deeper clarity.
The study has carried on with drafting of the “Preliminary Document Planning (Dpp)”
placed in the Act 109/94 and carried out by DPR 554/99, with the scope to give a proper feedback to the requirements of the customer-user.
Dpp has provided the guidelines of the subsequent phase of the project .
In this phase all aspects of the project have been developed and the external accommodation, meant as an integrant part of such project (cartable and pedestrian traffic regulation system, parking and green areas accommodations), has been taken care of.
The performed study has also considered the aspects linked to accessibility to secure proper benefit for disabled persons and to safety during sport events in order to create suitable environmental conditions for a regular execution of the event and security of order and public safety.
Second part of the thesis deals with calculation of the structures at a preliminary planning level and more accurately the ones appointed for covering.
The base sizing of the structure has been handled as per recent regulation acts (Ministerial Act 14 September 2005 “ Technical regulations for constructions”), following the criteria’s provided by the European Standard (Eurocode 3 and Eurocode 4) for the verifications under static weights of the structure.
