We are Elisa and Giulia, two young volunteers from Mussomeli. Mussomeli is a small town in the centre of Sicily and it’s the place where Anni did her EVS. We are volunteers in Associazione Culturale Strauss, the organization that hosted Anni and we are responsible for the Italian conversation club for the volunteers.
During our experience we had the pleasure of knowing Anni: a gorgeous girl who during her months spent in Mussomeli has donated herself to our community. In addition to being very sweet, Anni has
distinguished herself for her love for nature, children and youngsters, demonstrating this through her commitment and all activities she implemented. In fact she organized some campaigns for collecting trash and clean our community, she wrote articles about this topic and involved lots of locals for letting them to understand the importance to respect environment, she was involved in the organization of English conversation club for children and youngsters and she was also responsible to care of a local green park, organizing campaigns for inform local community how important could be to respect nature. Even if at the beginning she cannot speak in Italian , she was able to involve local youth in activities thanks to her way to be, she never gives up, she is very positive and passionate. Anni's patience and determination have amazed us, we are grateful to have known her: she is still an example for us.
