ABOUT SILVIA GIRARDI
Dopo gli studi di architettura a Venezia, nel 1992 si trasferisce a Milano dove lavora come architetto e designer presso lo studio dell’architetto Umberto Riva e presso lo studio King e Miranda Associati. Apre il proprio studio nel 1999 per occuparsi principalmente di progettazione di interni, ristrutturazioni, design di arredi. Collabora con il Politecnico di Milano dal 1997 e dal 2004 è docente incaricato nell’ambito di diverse discipline (Design degli Interni, Metaprogetto, Product Service System Design).
Silvia Girardi (born in Pordenone in 1967) is an architect, graduated at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia in 1992 with a thesis about the restoration of warehouse buildings in Potsdam (Berlin) to be converted into a hotel. She moved to Milan the same year and started working in the architect Umberto Riva’s studio where she has been assigned to both projects of interior design and industrial design. Between 1994-98 she worked in the King-Miranda Associati studio. Since 1999 she runs her own studio of architecture and interior design.
She started her collaboration with the Politecnico of Milan in 1997 as tutor. She teaches as contract professor since 2004 in various disciplines (Interior Design, Product Design, Product Service System Design).
