Registration Links & Dates
1) Registration links are available @ www.ps3nyc.org/afterschool (pls consult the ‘semester calendar’ page for updated information).
2) There are four registration links on our website:
• Pre-K Semester User - students who attend the program at least one week-day during the whole Semester.
• K-5 Semester User – same as above for this age group.
• Occasional Day (Drop-In Service) – students who attend the program sporadically ‘as-needed.’
• Extended Day – available only when the school dismisses at 12 noon (2 or 3 times during the school year).
3) Registration does NOT close. Students can join the program anytime during the school year. Pro-rated discounts are available for Semester Users who enroll after the first month of the semester. Please consult the ‘semester calendar’ page on our website for dates and discounts.

Medical Form Required – VERY IMPORTANT!
NYC Department of Health regulations mandate that afterschool programs have participants' current medical information on file. A PDF version of the medical form is available on our website. To download the form, please visit the Forms and
Semester Calendar page. Important: Afterschool Registration is not complete until we have this document on file. If you do not mail the form over the summer, you can drop it off in the Afterschool Office (Room 408) the first week of school.
Online registration and payment do NOT guarantee access to the program. Students are not allowed to attend the program until the medical form has been submitted. No exceptions!
We recommend you keep a copy of any medical form submitted to the afterschool program or the school’s main office. Due to privacy laws, the parent/guardian is the ONLY person authorized to make copies of a child's medical records. No one else is allowed to photocopy and hand over these forms on your behalf.
PreK Regular Users: How to Register for a new Semester
The $250.00 Semester Tuition (per weekday) is all inclusive and covers your child from 3 to 6pm.You just need to click the Pre-K Registration Button, select the weekday(s) your child will attend the program - and follow the prompts until payment is completed.
K-5 Regular Users: How to Register for a new Semester Two Activities per Day, Age Groups & Skill Level
Click the K-5 Registration link and follow the prompts. You will be asked to choose two activities per day (one activity per period). Important Note: even if you plan to pick up your child at 4:30pm, you still have to select one activity for the second period. If that’s the case, you should choose Basic Program for the second period.
If you are selecting enrichment activities, please make sure you choose age-appropriate classes. Grades for each activity are stated clearly under the title of the course between parentheses -- for example, (2-5). Some classes are also categorized by skill level (beginner and intermediate). Please select the right level for your child.
IMPORTANT: If you think your child is ready to participate in an activity for which s/he is NOT eligible due to age limits, we recommend you consult the staff before making a decision about enrollment.
PreK Tuition
The $250.00 tuition per Semester-Day covers all activities for this age group from 3pm to 6pm.
K-5 Tuition and Fees
The $180.00 tuition per Semester-Day covers the Basic Program for this age group. This includes KidzKlub (grades K-1) and Rec&Sports (grades 2-5). Please visit the Tuition & Fees page of our website for more details.
Enrichment Classes are subject to an additional fee. Class fees vary from $50.00/semester to $125.00/semester depending on the specialty, cost of equipment and materials, time of day and class duration. Our ability to offer a wide range of classes at reasonable rates depends on high enrollment and timely payments. Please help us meet these goals!
Payment Options & Payment Policy
You can pay your balance in full at the time of registration or choose the 2-payment option and pay the balance five weeks later (please check the ‘semester calendar’ page of our website for specific dates). Important Note: the Annual Registration Fee and premium Specialties are non-refundable and require 100% payment upfront.
The online registration system accepts credit and debit cards as well as e-checks. Personal checks and money orders can be used for payment if you register in the office in person. Please consult the contact page of our website for updated office hours. The payment schedule is strictly enforced. Please consult the afterschool website for full details.
Equal Access Policy & Wait Lists
Assignment of slots is based on a strict ‘equal access policy’. How is this processed?
The online registration system generates a Wait List Option when enrollment for a particular activity reaches capacity.
Children whose names have been added to a Wait List will be called if/when a slot becomes available due to a cancellation (first come first serve basis). If no slot becomes available during the Fall Semester, wait-listed students will get priority enrollment in that activity in the Spring.
Making Changes to an Existing Registration How to ADD a Program-Day
If you signed up for Mondays and Wednesdays, for example, and later decide you’d like to add Tuesdays to your registration, please go to our website, click the (age appropriate) Registration Link for Regular Users, choose ‘Returning User,’ select desired weekday and follow the prompts until payment is completed.
How to Request Program Changes or Cancellations – NEW PROCEDURE THIS FALL!!
If you want to request class change(s) or cancellation(s) please visit the Registration Change(s) page of our website for instructions and request form. This form can now be completed – and submitted – online.
VERY IMPORTANT
Please allow three to five (3-5) business days for you request to be processed. Program changes are subject to availability and will be effective one week after they are submitted. No exceptions! You will receive an email confirmation from our office as soon as the change is recorded in your account. Please do not email the office with special requests to bypass this processing period. They will only cause unnecessary delays. Thank you!
Administrative Fees
During the first two weeks of each Semester class changes (subject to availability) and requests for pro-rated reimbursements will be processed without incurring any penalties. After this period, they will incur administrative fees. Please consult the Semester Calendar page of our website for full details.
