2/3Research interests
Current interests
Adaptive systems, rule based systems, recommender systems, intelligent user interfaces.
I am interested in adaptive systems and in how rule based systems and reasoning on ontologies can be exploited to adapt system behaviour according to the user profile and preferences, to device and communication media capabilities and to the context.
Research in private industries
Infomobility.
I have a fifteen years long experience in software design and development in private companies focusing on research and pilot projects. Among the others:
{ 2005 A Pilot project for Protezione Civile (Public Safety), whose goal was to trace volun- teers and monitor critical zones and events during emergency situations. Both client and server side systems where fully developed.
{ 2004 SAFE TUNNEL: European project managed by Centro Ricerche Fiat, whose goal was to check trucks conditions before entering long road tunnels in order to reduce accidents and the frequency of fires in tunnels.
{ 2004 A pilot project for a food company managed by Hewlett Packard; the project aim was to track goods and possibly manage delivery coordination in real time.
