The Access Point supplied allows you to connect NIDO to the internet with extreme ease, it can be placed at a maximum distance of 10 meters (32 feet) in an air line.

1.

Place the access point near the NIDO, avoid walls or dividing walls between the NIDO and the Access Point.

2.

Connect the NIDO Access Point to the modem/router connected to the Internet.

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM

I can’t control the SMART PLUG NIDO

NIDO fails to draw water from the tank

SOLUTION

The maximum distance between NIDO and SMART PLUG must not exceed 10 meters (32 feet) as the crow flies, if this distance is exceeded or there are dividing walls between NIDO and SMART PLUG, disconnections may occur, for further information on SMART PLUG configuration see “Association NIDO SMART PLUG“.

If the problem persists you can restore the NIDO SMART PLUG to the factory default settings.

The operation restores all the settings to the default values.

1. Press and hold the NIDO SMART PLUG button for at least 10 seconds.

2. Unplug the NIDO SMART PLUG from the electrical outlet.

3. Follow the “Association NIDO SMART PLUG”.

NIDO must always receive “falling” water since it is not able to suck it up independently from the tank, wait at least 15-30 minutes after installation.

If after 15 minutes NIDO has problems with the collection and immission of recirculating water (see indicator) it is advisable:

1. Slightly loosen a probe press to eliminate possible formation of air pockets inside and tighten it as soon as water starts to come 2. Check that the OUT pipe of the tank (IN NIDO) does not exceed out.

the height of the tank.

3. Check the wall pass filter placed inside the water tank, if it has impurities, unscrew it in a clockwise direction and clean it with the brush supplied.

4. If the problem persists, it is advisable to apply a rise of at least 10 cm (3.94 in) under the tank to guarantee the flow of water falling towards NIDO.

I set a calendar value for pH and EC but NIDO does not compensate for the water.

I have set a calendar value for pH and EC but the measured value is slightly higher or lower than the value set in the calendar.

In the initial phase NIDO can take from 2 to a maximum of 12 hours to bring the water to ideal values, this may depend on the size of the water basin to be regulated and the type of fertilizers used.

For water compensation, NIDO works with certain tolerances, ± 0.05 EC and ± 0.05 pH.

Example:

If you set an EC 1.5mS (750 PPM) value, NIDO will compensate the water in a range between 1.45 and 1.55mS (725-775 PPM).

If you set a pH value of 5.5, NIDO will compensate for the water in a range between 5.45 and 5.55.

NIDO does not light up Check that the electrical socket is connected, check that the LED indicator on the power supply is on, check that the power plug is connected correctly.

Internet connection problems Check the status of the warning lights in the NIDO signaling panel by referring to page “Button WPS - Status of the connection“ of the manual. If the Wi-Fi signal is absent (red light on) move the NIDO Access Point closer to the device.

PLEASE NOTE: The NIDO Access Point must be placed near the NIDO device, for further details see page “NIDO ACESS POINT“ of the manual. This guide will help you identify the problem:

1. Wait at least 2 minutes after startup. Turn on NIDO and wait at least 2 minutes before taking any action, there is a good chance that NIDO will be able to hook up to the Wi-Fi network alone.

2. Restart NIDO and its Access Point. Disconnect and reconnect the Access Point and NIDO power supply and wait at least 2 minutes to check the connection status.

3. Check for wireless interference. Other devices that operate on a 2.4GHz frequency can stop the communication between NIDO and its Access Point. Try turning off all devices that could cause interference and restart NIDO and the Access Point. Here are some devices that could cause interference:

• Cordless phones

• Microwaves ovens

• Bluetooth devices

• Wireless video equipment

As soon as you have identified the source of the interference, try moving the devices that interfere, even a few meters could make the difference.

PROBLEM SOLUTION

For other unspecified problems, contact NIDO customer support assistenza@nidopro.com The dosing pump turns on but

does not inject the fertilizer Check the condition of the hose inside the dosing pump.

The tube can be removed in just a few simple steps, check that the tube has no tears or obstructions inside. In case of breakage it is possible to buy the replacement hose directly at the authorized sales point or on the website www.nidopro.com

Check that there are no obstructions inside the fertilizer cartridge or in the can inserting base.

How do I remove solidified mineral sediments in cartridge grafting glasses?

Use of latex gloves and protective glasses is recommended for this type of maintenance.

To remove eventual inorganic residues in NIDO’s coupling glasses and in the internal hydraulic circuit it is recommended to apply 50% phosphoric acid as an integral part of a maintenance program.

The injection of acid reduces the occlusion

caused both by low solubility salts such as calcium carbonate and by chemical residues contained in fertilizers.

• connect NIDO to the tank and make sure there is tap water for the device’s draft and then connect the power supply.

• empty and clean the 4 NIDO bottles and pour 20-25 ml (1.35-1.69 tbsp) of phosphoric acid directly into the A | B | C |

pH-• insert the 4 bottles in the appropriate slots and wait at least 2 HOURS

• run the cleaning cycle from the SETTINGS menu -> “CLEANING”

• repeat the cleaning cycle by filling the 4 cartridges with distilled water or tap water and press SETTINGS-> CLEANING
