ALL WITHDRAWALS MUST BE MADE IN WRITING For ITALIAN RIDERS in the CSI 1*
If a rider withdraws any or all of his horses within 10 days of the beginning of the event (cfr the date of the written communication), on request he must pay the Organising Committee the amount equivalent to 50% of the entry fees for each withdrawn horse (“Programma Attività Internazionale/Nazionale Dipartimento Salto Ostacoli”).
IMPORTANT - Entry forms must include the following information on horses/ponies: • name of horse/pony • date of birth • breed • country of birth • stud-book initials • passport number • colour • sex • name(s) ofowner(s)
IV. FACILITIES OFFERED
(Art. 132, 133) 1. COMPETITORSCSI 4*
Accommodation of competitors, who qualify for the Grand Prix, in a 3* hotel will be at the expense of the OC from 16/10/2008 to 20/10/2008 (maximum 4 nights).
All additional expenses (bar, telephone, tips, supplementary breakfast, etc) and the eventual cost of the difference between single bedroom accommodation and other type of accommodation are at competitor’s charge. Riders are responsible for and will meet all costs following any accidents occurring at the Hotel during their staying at the same.
Meals: at the expense of OC competitor from 17/10/2008 to 19/10/2008.
The OC will provide competitors with vouchers or cash equivalent for 1 meal per day (lunch or dinner + breakfast) from 17 to 19 Oct. If vouchers are provided, details of the restaurant will be given on arrival.
Competitors participating in the CSI1* and Italian riders will not receive meal vouchers.
2. GROOMS

Requests for accommodation must be sent with entries.
Cost of accommodation will be at the cost of OC competitor from to . Meals: at OC competitor expense from 17/10/2008 to 19/10/2008 (or cash equivalent) for 1 meal per day + breakfast

• The OC will not be responsible for any travelling or living expenses.
• Any grooms wishing to remain within the FEI stable area during the night may do so only with the authorization of the Chief Steward.
The OC will provide grooms of foreign competitors in the CSI4* classes with vouchers for breakfast & 1 meal per day from 17 – 19 Oct 2008 - the details of the bar/restaurant will be given on arrival. The grooms of competitors participating in the CSI1* and Italian riders will not receive meal vouchers.
Requests for accommodation must be sent with entries and expenses for accommodation will not be met by the OC.
3. HORSES

• Horses must be stabled in the boxes assigned to them on the show ground.
• Horses may not be unloaded on their arrival without the authorization of the Stable Manager.
• Stables must be mucked out daily and dirty bedding and rubbish placed in the special containers.
• All horses will be bedded on shavings unless specifically requested otherwise with entries.

4. WELCOME

LOCAL TRANSPORTATION - ARRANGEMENTS FROM HOTEL TO SHOWGROUNDS
The OC will provide transportation for riders competing in CSI 4* to/from the hotel.
5. ADVERTISING AND PUBLICITY ON COMPETITORS AND HORSES (Art. 136.1-2)
The competitors are authorised to carry the logo of their personal sponsor on the saddle cloth in accordance with Art. 136.1-2. The Chief Steward will check that the advertising and publicity on competitors and horses complies with Article 136 of the General Regulations.
V. MISCELLANEOUS

A figure equivalent of 20% of the Prize Money will be deducted at source from all competitors' winning for local taxes.
ALL COMPETITORS: the OC will make prize money payments by cheque on Sunday 19 Oct 2008 within 1 hour after the end of the last class at the latest.
5. INSURANCES
All owners and competitors are personally responsible for damages to third parties caused by themselves, their employees, their agents or their horses. They are therefore strongly advised to take out third-party insurance providing full coverage for participation in equestrian events at home and abroad, and to keep the policy up to date.
The Organising Committee renounce all responsibility for any injuries occurring to owners, riders, horses and stable staff caused by accidents and/or illness, and for all loss property due to theft, damages, fire or mishaps and to any damage to electronic/electrical appliances used by participants throughout the venue due to incidents with the power supply including but not limited to power surges. The participants will meet all repatriation costs following any accidents
Through their entry in the competition, the participants accept that the OC and its agents cannot be held responsible for any accidents during the events and the duration of their stay at the same.

4. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ENTRY OF HORSES
VERY IMPORTANT:
The following documentation is required by the local veterinary health authorities.
All documentation will be carefully examined by them before horses can be unloaded.
All participating horses must be in possession of:
A declaration (with a detailed list) from their own NF stating that the same is temporally imported into Italy to take part in the CSI 4*/1* Palermo – Coppa degli Assi

Veterinary health certificate on the International Form
ALL HORSES FROM EEC COUNTRIES TAKING PART IN THE SAME SHOW MUST POSSESS THE OFFICIAL VETERINARY HEALTH CERTIFICATE APPROVED BY THE EEC BOARD OF DIRECTORS 90/422/6 DATED 26.06.1990, AND SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENT EEC 92/130 DATED 13.02.1992
SINCE 2007, IT IS MANDATORY FOR ALL HORSES BASED IN AND TRAVELLING AROUND ITALY TO TEST NEGATIVE FOR EIA (Equine Infectious Anaemia).
