At last month’s Blind Football European Championships in Berlin, the Italian National Team (run by FISPIC) gave two talented teenagers the chance to create history. Paul Iyobo (age 15) and Francesco Cavallotto (age 17) both play for A.C. Crema 1908 and were called into the Italian side after strong performances for their club and for their country in a friendly against Russia in March. The pair were the youngest players in the Italian team and the European Championships. In summer 2015, the Italian wonder kids were in Hamburg for the IBSA Blind Football European Youth Camp with players and coaches from all over the continent. Both Paul and Francesco believe that the Youth Camp supported their development in reaching the European Championships:
Francesco: “The camp was very good because there were so many young players together and involved. Four or five of the players, including me are here in Berlin at this competition. It has helped us get to here.” Paul: “I learned a lot more about techniques and tactics from the coaches. Now I am here in Berlin because I took that I learnt everything from Hamburg and trained a lot over the past two years.” “I love football because when I am on the pitch I am free” – Paul Iyobo (left) Paul set the Lilli-Henoch Sportplatz alight with his sensational dribbling and fired four goals past the Romania goal to confirm a win for Italy’s second match of the Championship. “It was nice to score four goals. We were relaxing because there was not a lot of pressure from Romania, so we could play well”. Despite suffering defeats against challenging opposition in the form of Germany, England and France, Francesco felt that it was a good opportunity to learn from playing against more experienced players: Francesco: “They were very difficult to play against. England and France play a type of football that has more speed and aggression. It was very difficult to play against, but it was useful to help improve our game.” In their 7th place match against Belgium, Paul scored a last-minute strike for Italy to take the 7th place medal and move himself up to 4th place in the Top Goal Scorer Table with 5 goals. The teenage duo expressed their pride in wearing the Italian jersey and both intend to stay in the game for a very long period. Francesco: “It was an honour to represent my nation and play here to fight for my shirt and my flag. I hope to be at the next European Championships and stay in the Italian National Team.” Paul: “My dream was to play in the European Championships. UniPegaso a "FuoriCinema" per sostenere l'associazione Art4Sport di Bebe Vio - ildenaro.it | Economia, politica, professioni, mercati: il quotidiano delle imprese campane, della finanza, che guarda all'Europa e al Mediterraneo
L’Università Telematica Pegaso approda a “FuoriCinema”, il festival dedicato alla divulgazione della cultura cinematografica in programma dal 14 al 17 settembre, presso CityLife a Milano. “L’adesione a questo progetto – dichiara il presidente dell’Università Telematica Pegaso, Danilo Iervolino - si inserisce in quello più ambizioso di Pegaso Experience. Un contenitore culturale che intende far vivere a una vasta platea di utenti collegati online l’esperienza della partecipazione ai maggiori eventi legati all’arte, all’attualità e alla formazione. E’ il caso anche di Fuoricinema, durante il quale sarà possibile assistere a conferenze stampa, interviste ai maggiori protagonisti dei film, convegni, backstage, collegandosi alla pagina web o a quella social del nostro ateneo”.
La partecipazione dell’Università Telematica Pegaso alla kermesse si concretizza anche mediante il sostegno all’associazione beneficiaria Art4Sport ONLUS di Bebe Vio, con l’assegnazione di una borsa di studio utile all’iscrizione a un master erogato dall’ateneo.
“Il link con Bebe Vio è antico – continua il presidente Iervolino – la campionessa è testimonial dell’Accademia che l’Università ha istituito con il sostegno del CONI, rivolta agli sport paralimpici”. L’Università Pegaso non è nuova alla collaborazione con settore cinematografico. Si ricorda la recente partecipazione alla Mostra del Cinema di Venezia, Giffoni Experience e Ischia Festival. Di pochi mesi fa è l’accordo di co-branding con Sony Pictures che lega l’immagine dell’ateneo all’uscita nelle sale italiane di “Spiderman Homecoming”. Il supereroe della Marvel è il testimonial di eccezione della campagna pubblicitaria di caratura nazionale per il 2017. Del 2015, invece, è il partenariato con Studio Cinema per la prima Accademia del Cinema online. Due realtà dai grandi numeri, quelle di FuoriCinema e dell’Università Telematica Pegaso. Il festival, sebbene solo alla seconda edizione, vanta 25 mila ingressi nel 2016 e uno spazio con 1500 posti a sedere e 2000 posti sul prato, tutti ad ingresso gratuito. Non da meno sono i risultati dell’ateneo telematico: oltre 50 mila studenti iscritti in tutta Italia, 10 corsi di laurea, 200 master e corsi di perfezionamento, 9 Accademie, come l’Accademia del Cinema e l’Accademia dello Sport Paralimpico; certificazioni informatiche e linguistiche, 70 sedi sul territorio nazionale.
