6. Prospettive future
Indubbiamente sarebbe necessario caratterizzare la popolazione microbica prelevando e sequenziando le bande più rappresentative dei pattern elettroforetici della DGGE, in modo da avere un quadro generale più dettagliato della popolazione batterica nei vari strati di terreno.
Inoltre, si potrebbe valutare la presenza di Acinetobacter nel terreno bonificato, per vedere se il processo di bonifica biologica avesse influito negativamente sulla popolazione degradatrice autoctona.
Infine, ulteriori studi si rendono necessari per valutare la potenzialità dei ceppi utili isolati: ad esempio, potrebbe esserne studiata la produzione di biosurfactanti o il tasso di degradazione.
