BIG APPLE

New York City is the largest city in the United States and New York. Over 8 million people live in it, and over 22

million people live in and around it. It is in the south end of the state of New York, which is in the northeastern United

It is the financial capital of the US since it is home to the nation's stock market, Wall Street, and the One World Trade Center. It is also the home of the

Headquarters of the United Nations.

LIBERTY

The statue of Liberty was inaugurated in 1886. It was a gift by France for americans.

EMPIRE STATE BUILDING

The Empire State Building is highest place in the city.It was built in 1931.

Designed in 1858, it is composed of woods, gardens and ponds.

The park is frequented by both tourists and New Yorkers, who often go with the family.

In this area there are also skating rinks, fountains, bridges and educational centers.

The Brooklyn Bridge was built from 1869 to 1883.The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest

suspension bridges in the United States. It is 1,825 meters long.

Brooklyn. It is one of the leading landmarks of New York City.

Trains at Grand Central go to northern suburbs of New York . One of the subway trains from Grand Central goes straight to Times Square and the Port

Authority Bus Terminal, where people can catch buses that go through the Lincoln Tunnel to New

Jersey. With a change of trains, they can go

instead to Penn Station, another large train station in Manhattan, which has long-distance Amtrak

trains to other big cities in the U.S., and other trains to suburbs in New Jersey.

Times Square is a section of Manhattan, New York City. It is a major center for tourism, show

business and commerce. The square is at the meeting point of Broadway, Seventh Avenue and

It connects Upper New York Bay on its south end to Long Island Sound on its north end. It separates
