Based on the archival material of Gianni Fabbri’s Discoteca Paradiso, guarded by Paolo Fabbri and Si-monetta Franci, a site-specific installation was created with unpublished photographs that highlight the relationship between fashion, celebrities, events and disco club during the eighties and nineties of the twentieth century.

Paolo Fabbri has kindly welcomed our invitation to introduce Zonemoda International Conference 2019 “Be Cool! Aesthetic Imperatives and Social Practices” (see ZMJ, 10, 1S 2020) with a comment on the events of the celebrated disco club Paradiso, owned by his brother Gianni.

A site-specific installation curated by Nicola Brajato, graphic project by Leandro Palanghi with the col-laboration of Flavia Piancazzo and Yingntao Zhong.
