(1)al i. Joints na zi on. Editorial 50 up! Our vision and dream for our “orange journal”. I am delighted to announce that, with the current issue (the third of our second year), Joints has reached an important milestone, namely the. publication of 50 articles: 16 original articles, 31 review articles and 3 case reports. It is a milestone that the editorial board always aimed to. In te r. reach before the journal was two years old and it is thanks to the contribution and enthusiasm of everyone involved (readers, authors, editorial. board and sponsors) that it has been reached one issue ahead of schedule. The target of 50 articles was chosen not just for its symbolic value, but also for strategic reasons, given that, having reached it, we can now set in motion the process of applying to have Joints included in the most important databases worldwide, thereby increasing its visibility and accessibility. This, together with our policy of making it an open-access journal, could significantly increase the number of online accesses to our publications. In short, Joints is poised to make the important leap forwards in quality terms that will allow it to become an information tool accredited by the global scientific community. It is hoped that the inclusion of. ni. new international scientific partners in the editorial board, together with a policy of promoting the journal among potential contributors, will help to make Joints, with its distinctive orange cover, the reference journal in the field of knee surgery, sports traumatology and arthroscopy.. iz io. Although we have barely had chance to celebrate the milestone just reached we already have our sights set on a new vision – a new dream that gives our work fresh objectives. But this, of course, is as it should be, as this is the only way to ensure that we always go that extra mile, striving to achieve the best possible results.. This issue of Joints, like the previous ones, contains interesting articles that deserve a special mention; in particular, two original articles and a. Ed. case report. Delcogliano et al. report the results of a multicenter study on the treatment of knee osteochondritis dissecans with a biomimetic scaffold, while Solarino et al. compare the long-term outcomes of total knee arthroplasty with different mobile bearings. Cautero and Gervasi describe an unusual case of bilateral posterior fracture-dislocation of the shoulder. Meanwhile the section of the journal devoted to reviews contains several articles on highly topical issues, namely: cartilage imaging (Ronga et al.), osteochondritis dissecans of the talus (Zanon et al.), instru-. IC. mental evaluation of the pivot shift test in anterior cruciate ligament injuries (Zaffagnini et al.), and the return to sport after patellar dislocation (Respizzi and Cavallin). I hope and trust that you will find the contents of this issue interesting and useful.. C. Our work is, of course, ongoing: we still have a long road to travel in pursuit of our dreams. And on reaching the end of it there will undoubtedly be new ones awaiting us. Giuseppe Milano, MD. ©. Editor-in-Chief Joints. JOINTS 2014;2(3):101. 101.
