For the realisation of the research project “CereAlp” the Mountain Agriculture Unit of Laimburg Research Centre is recruiting a highly motivated
Agronomist (m/f), Code CA01
to conduct research in the field of the potential of use of cereal landraces.
Job description
The project is aimed at evaluating the potential of use of rye and spelt landraces from South Tyrol and Tyrol taking into account their agronomic, technological (suitability for bakery) and sensory traits, as well as their breeding value.
Qualifications
• MSc in agronomy, food technology or equivalent with good knowledge of agronomy and crop production.
• PhD or Post-Doc experience and a strong publication record in an active field of the aforementioned areas are desired.
• Expertise in the field of cereal growing is desired.
• Excellent research skills and expertise within the field of baking quality, sensory evaluation and biometry are a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Fluent in German and/or Italian, good communication skills in oral and written English.
• Candidates should be able to work independently and possess good team-working skills.
