Q: Which are the aspects of the WFD?
A: The acknowledgement of the WFD in the national legislation is expected within December 2003 followed from the identification of the Districts of Basin and of the authorities of District that have the task to carry out the technical aspects on the territory (June 2004). A biennial process was performed to intercalibrate the methods of classification of the ecological state of the water bodies aimed to obtain the environmental objectives.
The definition of the territorial characteristics of the Districts of Basin will be active within March 2005 and the definition of the program of monitoring will be active for all the waters within the 2006.
Finally, the plans of management of the Basins will be predisposed in the 2009.
