Kyoto Club and Turkey
Thanks to the EU –Turkey Civil Society Dialogue Programme Kyoto Club has been cooperating on energy, climate-friendly and sustainable development projects with Turkish civil society organisations
in Ankara, Karşıyaka and İzmir.
We are all on the same boat, facing common problems and needing common solutions and we very much look forward to further developing cooperation with all of you:
To strengthen organisational/institutional and learning/teaching capacity of the newly established CSO network and its ability to outreach and communicate towards its constituency (individual civil society organisations or others CSOs
networks) and the citizens.
To promote strategic collaboration between the CSO network and public authorities at local and/or national levels by advocating the education models provided and by participating in decision-making process with a special focus on city councils.
To strengthen the capacity and sustainably enlarge the dialogue among Turkish CSOs as well as the one between Turkish and Italian CSOs and the Brussels-based networks’ partners in the context of tackling with environment and climate change issues and developing awareness-raising education programmes to be disseminated to the public.
To disseminate EU best practices in the field of environment and sustainable development, the dissemination of environmental awareness raising practices and thus enhancing public understanding on the urgency and importance of combating climate change and environmental threats.
