2000 Phillips: Antarctic and sub-Antarctic birds 1996 bibliography 101

INTRODUCTION

In 1986, the Bird Biology Subcommittee of the Scientific Com- mittee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) Working Group on Biology recommended that a list of recent publications on Ant- arctic and sub-Antarctic seabirds species from 1986 be prepared.

The 1996 list, the eleventh to be produced and published in Marine Ornithology, has been compiled by scanning the relevant literature and abstracting services, and by corre- spondence with members of the subcommittee. Readers are requested to send reprints of their recent relevant literature, including ones missing from this or previous lists, to the author for inclusion in subsequent lists.
