Curriculum vitae Teodora Bavaro
Dr. Bavaro obtained her Master Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology from the University of Pavia in 2004 defending the thesis “Synthesis of 6-anilino substituted uridine derivatives with antiviral activity”.
On February 7 2008 she got her PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology at the
University of Pavia defending the thesis “Chemoenzymatic synthesis of nucleosides and nucleotides by using immobilized and stabilized enzymes”.
On March 13 2009 she got her 2nd Level University Master Degree in Drug Design and Drug Development at the University of Pavia defending the thesis “Comparison of immobilized and stabilized nucleoside phosphorylases for the enzymatic synthesis of pyrimidine nucleosides”.
From January 1 2005 to Dicembre 2005 31 she has been the recipient of a fellowship funded by University of Pavia.
From February 1 2006 to November 30 2006 she has been the recipient of a research contract within the project “Design and Development of a Catalog for New Commercial Biocatalysts”
funded by REGINS.
From January 1 2007 she is holding research contracts within different projects funded by Regione Lombardia.
She is currently lecturer of the Medicinal Chemistry class within the Biotechnology course. She is also tutor for the lab training of Pharmaceutical Synthesis class within the course of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology. She has co-supervised 8 experimental theses within the course of Biotechnology and Chemistry.
From 2009 to 2012 she has received a teaching contract “Identification of lead compounds and therapeutic targets” from the University Vita e Salute San Raffaele of Milano within the Medical, Molecular and Cellular Biotechnology course.
Dr. Bavaro is co-author of 12 scientific publications in peer reviewed international and national medicinal chemistry/biotechnological journals, 3 patents and 26 oral/poster communications. She is also author of 1 book chapter.
