I started my PhD as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow within the oPAC framework (optimization of Particle ACcelerators). The work of thesis has been developed at ALBA Synchrotron Light Source, in Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona, Spain).

During these three years I had the possibility to assist to several international conferences in which I had the opportunity to share my work with the community by submitting proceedings, presenting posters and giving talks. I also took part in specialised courses about particle accelerators and career development, and was actively involved in the organization of a workshop. Additionally I had the chance to spend 15 days at CERN to collaborate with the Beam Instrumentation group.

Details about these activities are listed below.

Professional Development

August 2015 Secondment at CERN in collaboration with the Beam Instrumentation group:

{ Synchrotron radiation simulations (SRW and Zemax).

2015 oPAC School on Advanced Researcher Skills, June 24th - 25th 2015, University of Liverpool, Liverpool, UK:

{ Project management, grant writing, and career planning.

2014 oPAC School on Accelerator Optimization, July 7th - 11th 2014, Royal Holloway University London, UK:

{ Beam physics studies, instrumentation R&D and charged particle beam simulations.
