Abstract
The thesis deals with the study of the so-called Aachen turbine and a low pressure aeronautical turbine by means of CFD simulations. The purpose of the study was to compare results coming from different discretization schemes in terms of mesh generation. Moreover it is shown the differences between two kind of unstructured grid, obtained by conversion of structured one and a grid generated inside the unstructured environment. Forcing all of the grids to satisfy specifications and constraints, fluid dynamic comparison is then possible and it is independent from grid resolution.
