If we consider the emission gases polluting the world as 100, Turkey causes %1 of these greenhouse gas emissions.
6 of 10 IS CONCERNED
According to research called ‘’The coherence of climate change in Turkey 2019’’ 6 out of 10 people is concern about climate change
İn Turkey and one of two people shares thats they feeling the effects of climate change already.
PROTOCOLS
Climate Change Framework Convention of United Nations:
The UNFCCC entered into force on 21 March 1994. 197 countries have ratified the Convention.
Kyoto Protocol: The law of Kyoto Protocol have agreed in our Assembly in February 2009.
Vienna Agreement ve Montreal Protocol : Turkey has part of this protocol in 19 December 1991 and has agreed all the changes.
Paris Agreement: Turkey has part of the agreement but hasn’t ratify in Assembly yet.
CLIMATE CHANGE STRATEGY OF TURKEY 2010-2023
I WOULD LIKE TO TELL ABOUT THE IMPORTANT PARTS OF STRATEGY OF CLIMATE CHANGE PREPARED IN TWO
THOUSAND AND TEN;
TO INVOLVE THE FIGHT WITH CLIMATE CHANGE IN ALL NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLANS;
TO RESTRICT THE GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS,
TO DECREASE THE EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE, TO INCREASE THE DEGREE OF FIGHT,
TO INCREASE THE ACCESS OF THE FINANCIAL RESOURCES,
TO IMPROVE THE CLEAN R&D WORKS,
TO PROVIDE ACTIVE PARRTICIPATION TO NEGOTIATIONS, TO PREPARE THE INVENTORY OF EMISSIONS MORE
HEALTHY,
TO IMPROVE THE CLIMATE CHANGE POLICIES WITH THE COOPERATION OF ALL SHAREHOLDERS.
THE DEVELOPMENT OF WIND AND SOLAR POWER IN TURKEY
Turkey is taking some steps towards the adaptation to EU climate change legislation. Some of these steps are;
• “Legislation on Greenhouse Gas Emissions Follow Up’’ in May 17 2014.
• In 22 July 2014 ‘’Rescript on Greenhouse Gas Emissions Follow Up and Reporting’’
• In 2 April 2015 ‘’The Rescript of Authorization of the Verification and Confirmative Associations on Greenhouse Gas Emission Reports,
• “Legislation on the Environmental Effects of Fuel and Diesel’’ in January 1 2018.
