If you are in Italy, even without documents, and you are afraid of being sent back to your country of origin, because you may be persecuted or condemned due to your homosexuality or trans- sexuality, you can present an application for international pro- tection. It’s not necessary that a law condemns homosexual rela- tionships in your country. To obtain protection it is sufficient to demonstrate which discriminations or violence you should face if sent back to your country.
