2.1

Search Sequence

Goods receipt:

• The general storage type search sequence during goods receipt is: 001, 002 and 004.

• In case of storage type indicator ‘003’ in warehouse view of material master, the storage type search sequence during goods receipt is: 003, 001, 002 and 004.

• In case of storage type indicator ‘005’ in warehouse view of material master, the storage type search sequence during goods receipt is: 005, 001, 002 and 004.

Storage type 100 will not be determined automatically during goods receipt. Goods issue:

• In principle always strict FIFO.

• Excluded from strict FIFO in component warehouse 080 are storage types 100.

2.2

Storage Type 001 – High Rack Components

• Storage type 001 is managed with goods receipt strategy ‘L’ (Next empty bin). Storage bin types:

• H1 width 2m height 1,5m (2 bins per area)

• H2 width 3m height 1,3m (3 bins per area)

• H3 width 3m height 1,4m (3 bins per area) The storage bin types possibly have to be redefined!

Actually the bins are smaller than the types mentioned above. Storage sections:

• 001: Regular section Storage bins:

• Rack01: A-01-00 to A-16-03, bin type H1, storage section 001.

Storage Type 003 – Bulk Alum. & Die-Casting

Storage type 003 is managed with goods receipt strategy ‘B’ for bulk storage. That means: One bin represents one line. The first goods receipt defines, based on the storage unit type, how many pallets can be stored in this one bin. The general procedure is with an example:

• Bin B0301 is assigned to bin type B1.

• The first goods receipt takes place with storage unit type CM1.

Since 3 Metallic containers, but stackable on 4 levels can be stored, in total 12 contain-ers can be received into this bin.

• As soon as a specific storage unit type is stored in the bin, only this material with exactly this storage unit type can be received.

• The bin will be proposed until it is fully loaded or the first goods issue took place or latest 5 days after first goods receipt (customizing).

• After the first goods issue, the bin is blocked for further goods receipts to guarantee FI-FO.

• If the bin is empty, it will be release for goods receipt again. Storage bin types:

• B1: 3 stacks Storage bins:

• Area01: B0301 to B0317, bin type B1. Storage unit types:

• CM1: Cont. Metall. 4340, stackable on 4 levels, storage bin type sequence B1

• CM2: Cont. Metall. 7911, stackable on 4 levels, storage bin type sequence B1 Attention, the following parameters need to be maintained in material master:

Storage Type 004 – Bulk Goods Receipt

Storage type 004 is managed with goods receipt strategy ‘B’ for bulk storage. That means: One bin represents one line. The first goods receipt defines, based on the storage unit type, how many pallets can be stored in this one bin. The general procedure is with an example:

• Bin B0401 is assigned to bin type B3.

• The first goods receipt takes place with storage unit type CM1.

Since 10 Metallic containers, but stackable on 6 levels can be stored, in total 60 con-tainers can be received into this bin.

• As soon as a specific storage unit type is stored in the bin, only this material with exactly this storage unit type can be received.

• The bin will be proposed until it is fully loaded or the first goods issue took place or latest 5 days after first goods receipt (customizing).

• After the first goods issue, the bin is blocked for further goods receipts to guarantee FI-FO.

• If the bin is empty, it will be release for goods receipt again. Storage bin types:

• B3: 10 stacks Storage bins:

• Area01: B0401 to B0410, bin type B3. Storage unit types:
