Statement of people who know the volunteer
Hussein Nasrallah, UNDP Area Manager for South Lebanon
I am in direct contact with Ms. Nassar for all matters related to the coordination with the south governorate. Her communication skills are crucial in ensuring clear and direct correspondence with different stakeholders, including the governor, the mayors of the villages and other key actors. Furthermore, her professional
approach ensures the exchange of reliable information in a timely manner and is highly important for the implementation of the projects that respond completely to the needs of the societies we are serving.
Kassem Chaalan, Disaster Risk Reduction Program Manager at the Lebanese Red Cross
The Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) program within the Lebanese Red Cross (LRC), has been part of the efforts being invested within the Disaster Risk Management (DRM) unit in the south governorate. Throughout our experience, with the DRM unit, we have worked in touch with the UN Volunteer Ms. Layal Nassar. Mr. Nassar has proven to be a strong and motivated volunteer reflecting a lot of enthusiasm and effort in the project. She is able to communicate effectively with the different stakeholders, including the LRC, through showing and maintaining a high level of facilitation and communication skills during the discussions. Moreover, she presents good leadership skills through having a clear vision of how to implement the project and interact with the authorities and the NGOs.
