English photographer Carl Warner creates landscapes using food and his work has become known around the world.
From within his London studio, he gathers together the finest ingredients to compose images of the natural world, from salami rivers to cabbage seas, and from broccoli forests to mountains of bread. The painterly compositions and re-creation of natural light bring a feeling of reality to these scenes which are built on large table tops and then quickly photographed before the freshness and vibrance of colour is lost.
The work provides an incredible level of detailed observation which brings together the beauty of fresh ingredients to create scenes and landscapes which upon first glance, deceive the viewer into thinking that this is a real place. His work is seen my many as a new and original way to look at the food we eat, and the world we live in. We are delighted to bring to you a collection of 20 large prints of his work and we hope you will enjoy a pleasant journey into this world of food through the mind and imagination of this artist.
Le photographe anglais Carl Warner crée des paysages photographiques en utilisant exclusivement des aliments, un travail qui l'a rendu célèbre dans le monde entier.
Dans son studio de Londres, il associe les meilleurs ingrédients pour composer des images du monde alimentaire : des rivières de saucissons aux mers de choux fleurs, des forêts de brocolis aux montagnes de pain.
Les compositions et la lumière naturelle que Warner réussi à reproduire transmettent confèrent un grand réalisme à ces scènes construites sur les pans d'une vaste table et rapidement photographiées afin que la fraîcheur et les vibrations de la couleur ne se perdent pas. Le détail incroyable des images, au premier regard, trompe la personne qui observe ou la porte à penser que ces paysages sont réels.
