PIER LUCA FRESCHI DESIGN

Pier Luca Freschi Apre ad Imola lo studio di industrial design.

Dopo l’esperienza milanese presso alcuni studi di product design, Pier Luca Freschi, diploma in Car design a Torino, da il via all’esperienza professionale legata alla progettazione di prodotti industriali.

Imola è un territorio di lavoro ed esperienza di lavorazioni meccaniche e i primi lavori vengono progettati nel settore della GDO. I materiali e le tecnologie, che si stanno sviluppando in quel periodo in altri settori, vengono proposti dallo studio per la produzione di prodotti da tempo fermi e legati a materiali ferrosi.

Inizia quindi una piccola rivoluzione nell’ambito progettuale, innovando, facendo vedere e conoscere una nuova realtà di prodotto che verrà poi utilizzata anche da altre aziende straniere.

A metà degli anni ’90 diversifica il proprio impegno progettuale in altri settori: gioielleria, medicale e zootecnico, mentre gli anni 2000 si aprono con un grande progetto di un Kartodromo al coperto con all’interno una serie di servizi, affiancando uno studio di architettura come designer di esterni ed interni. In questi due decenni, lo studio progetta in altre realtà industriali, come l’arredo urbano, sistemi espositivi per negozi ed esterni, sistemi di apertura e comando portoni, chiavi meccaniche e automatiche d’ingresso per la casa, servizi da caffè, presse e tini in acciaio per la vinificazione e infine macchine saldatrici industriali e bilanciatori.

PIER LUCA FRESCHI DESIGN

Pier Luca Freschi opens his industrial design studio in Imola.

After an experience in Milan at different product design studios, Pier Luca Freschi, after taking a diploma in Car design in Turin, started the professional experience linked to the design of industrial products.

Imola is a work area and experience in mechanical machining and the first works are planned in the large-scale retail sector. The materials and technologies, which were developing in that period in other industries, are proposed by the studio for the manufacturing of products that have long been linked to ferrous materials. Then Pier Luca Freschi started a small revolution in the design field, innovating, showing and knowing a new product reality that will then also be used by other foreign companies.

In the mid-90s, he diversified his design commitment into other sectors:

jewellery, medical and zootechnics, while the 2000s began with a large project of an indoor kart track with a series of services inside, alongside an architecture studio as an exterior and interior designer.

In these two decades, the studio designs in other industrial realities, such as street furniture, display systems for shops and exteriors, door opening and control systems, mechanical and automatic entrance keys for the house, coffee services, presses and steel vats for winemaking and finally industrial welding machines and balancers.

COLLEZIONE KOMOS

INDOOR FURNITURE

La collezione di tavoli, consolle e tavolini Komos richiama nel nome un corteo rituale che faceva parte delle feste dionisiache, durante il quale i partecipanti danzando, cantando e bevendo si abbandonavano a un’atmosfera di baldoria alcolica.

Il nome della collezione esalta quindi innanzitutto la convivialità e lo stare seduti tutti insieme intorno a un tavolo. Komos vuole infatti sottolineare quel gusto classico e quell’aura soprannaturale e talvolta sopra le righe delle divinità antiche, manifestata in modo particolare durante i banchetti.

La scelta di un nome classico vuole inoltre celebrare un richiamo al passato nell’utilizzo di ceramica con effetto marmo. La forma, così come la materia, se predisposte con proporzionalità e ordine portano un oggetto ad essere immortale e così la sovrapposizione di più elementi ceramici trasforma i complementi della serie in elementi statuari, rendendoli eterni e non declinati in base alla tendenza del momento. I prodotti della serie Komos sono quindi un richiamo al passato con un occhio di riguardo alle forme della contemporaneità.

The Komos collection of tables, consoles and tables recalls in the name a ritual procession that was part of the Dionysian festivals, during which the participants dancing, singing and drinking indulged in an atmosphere of alcoholic spree. The name of the collection therefore enhances con- viviality and being seated together around a table. Komos in fact wants to underline that classic taste and that supernatural aura and sometimes over the top atmosphere of the ancient divinities, manifested in a particu- lar way during the banquets.

The choice of a classic name also wants to celebrate a reference to the past in the use of ceramic with a marble effect. The shape, as well as the material, if predisposed with proportionality and order bring an object to be immortal and so the overlapping of several ceramic elements transforms the accessories of the series into statuesque elements, making them eternal and not declined according to the trend of the moment. The products of the Komos series are therefore a reminder of the past with an eye to the forms of modernity.

VIRGINIA E FRANCESCO BREGANZE DE CAPNIST

Virginia Valentini e Francesco Breganze de Capnist sono due architetti che si occupano di design in diverse scale. Creano interni, arredi e oggetti di uso quotidiano la cui funzione principale si esprime con eleganza e semplicità.

Progettano con lo spazio, la luce, i colori e i materiali applicando una visione creativa e ponendo una particolare attenzione al dettaglio.

Entrambi laureati in Architettura al Politecnico di Milano, nel 2012 si sono trasferiti a New York dove hanno fondato lo studio di architettura Spazio Primario, progettando interni sia residenziali che commerciali. Nel 2019 sono rientrati in Italia dove hanno fondato LATOxLATO, un’azienda che produce oggetti di design con l’intento di arricchire lo spazio in maniera inusuale, e dove continuano l’attività di progettazione architettonica, di arredi e di oggettistica.

VIRGINIA E FRANCESCO BREGANZE DE CAPNIST

Virginia Valentini and Francesco Breganze de Capnist are two architects who deal with design on different scales. They create interiors, furnishings and everyday objects whose main function is expressed with elegance and simplicity. They design with space, light, colours and materials by applying a creative vision and paying particular attention to detail.

Both graduated in Architecture at Politecnico di Milano, in 2012 they moved to New York where they founded Spazio Primario architecture studio, designing both residential and commercial interiors. In 2019 they returned to Italy where they founded LATOxLATO, a company that produces design objects with the aim of enriching spaces in an unusual way, and where they continue their work of architectural design, furnishings and objects design.

Il tavolo tondo Komos è formato da una base conica composta da elementi ceramici di forma circolare spessi 20 mm e sovrapposti tra loro, in cui è incastrata una struttura metallica che sorregge il piano in ceramica spesso 12 mm. Il piano può essere arricchito da inserti metallici incastonati nella ceramica che richiamano sulla superficie la struttura sottostante.

COLLEZIONE OTO: POP - POP REVERSE - ROCK INDOOR FURNITURE

Collezione improntata sul senso materico della struttura, dinamica del sostegno a favore del minimalismo visivo con estrema caratterizzazione delle finiture, insiti nel dettaglio del materiale. Il piano di appoggio, con la perfezione geometrica dei tagli, conferisce alla collezione sontuosità ed eleganza, come l’assoluta epifania del suono.

OTO è rigore, naturale forza, ma nel contempo leggerezza, come il vento che sferza le canne, sibilo estetico di armonia unica, con un forte richiamo alla socialità del tavolo, come luogo di incontro delle parole, del suono.

Collection based on the material sense of the structure. The dynamic of the support is in favour of visual minimalism with extreme characterization of the finishes. The support surface, with the geometric perfection of the cuts, gives the collection sumptuousness and elegance, like the absolute epiphany of sound. OTO is strictness, natural strength, but at the same time lightness, like the wind that lashes the reeds, an aesthetic hiss of unique harmony, with a strong reference to the sociability of the table, as a meeting place for words and sound.

Nato in Gran Bretagna nel 1967, completa gli studi presso l’Universita della Sapienza di Roma, laureandosi in Architettura, nel 1993. Dal 1996 fonda lo studio CVA - Claudio Valentino Architettura ed ha svolto la sua attivita, in campo nazionale ed internazionale con riconoscimenti per la sua eccellenza ed innovazione, tra i quali quella della Triennale di Milano e la Biennale di Venezia.

Unisce la capacita creativa e tecnica per meglio sviluppare un carattere europeo alle sue opere architettoniche collaborando, in varie occasioni, con partner europei con cui ha vinto numerosi concorsi nazionali ed internazionali e pubblicato su diverse prestigiose riviste, esponendo i suoi lavori in molti musei ed istituzioni in Europa ed in Italia.

Si identifica nell’architettura orientata verso una continua ricerca di soluzioni innovative dal carattere peculiare, indirizzando e sperimentando la progettazione, in molteplici settori, dalle infrastrutture, all’arredo, dalla pianificazione urbana al design, per rispondere ad ogni esigenza funzionale, incorporando conoscenze tecnologiche, sistemi ecocompatibili e contaminazioni artistiche attraverso un’immaginazione rivolta alla realta contemporanea.

CLAUDIO VALENTINO DESIGN

Born in Great Britain in 1967, he completed his studies at Sapienza University of Rome, graduating in Architecture in 1993. Since 1996 he founded the CVA - Claudio Valentino Architettura studio and has carried out his activity, nationally and internationally with awards for its excellence and innovation, including the Milan Triennale and the Venice Biennale. He combines the creative and technical ability to attribute a European character to his architectural works, collaborating on various occasions with European partners with whom he has won numerous national and international competitions and published in several prestigious magazines, exhibiting his works in many museums and institutions in Europe and Italy.

He identifies himself in architecture oriented towards a continuous search for innovative solutions with a peculiar character, directing and experimenting with design in multiple sectors, from infrastructures to furnishings, from urban planning to design, to meet every functional need. He incorporates technological knowledge, environmentally friendly systems and artistic contaminations through an imagination aimed at contemporary reality.
