il rifugio Oberholz a Obereggen (Bz) è uno fra i più recenti e riusciti esempi di architettura per la montagna realizzati lungo i confini italiani, in Val di Fiemme. L’intervento di Pichler e Mikolajcak, entrambi trentenni con formazione all’Università di Vienna, è frutto di un concorso di progettazione bandito da Obereggen AG, società attiva nella gestione di diverse strutture turistiche e impianti di risalita in Alto Adige. L’idea che dà origine al volume della struttura è quella di un albero che cresce in orizzontale, adagiandosi inizialmente sul terreno per continuare poi con tre grossi “rami” a sbalzo sul paesaggio. «Ciascun ramo è rivolto verso le tre montagne più importanti della zona: il Mendel, il Corno Nero e il Corno Bianco. Su questi bracci curvilinei si sviluppa la tipica forma del tetto a due spioventi, generando tre aree in cui sono distribuiti i tavoli del ristorante, chiuse da una grande facciata di vetro che permette di inquadrare le tre montagne circostanti», spiegano i progettisti. The Oberholz mountain hut in Obereggen (Bz) is one of the most recent and striking examples of mountain architecture built along the Italian frontier, in Val di Fiemme. The project by Pichler and Mikolajcak, both of whom are in their thirties and studied at the University of Vienna, is the result of a design competition launched by Obereggen AG, a company active in the management of several tourism structures and lifts in South Tyrol. The idea that inspired the volume of the structure is a horizontally growing tree, which is initially close to the ground, but then spreads out into three large “branches” cantilevered over the landscape. “Each branch faces the three most important mountains in the area: the Mendel Pass, the Schwarzhorn and the Weisshorn. The typical pitched roof shape develops along these curvilinear branches, creating three areas in which the restaurant’s tables are arrayed, enclosed by a large glazed façade that frames the three surrounding mountains”, explain the architects. Paperlab by Epson is the world’s first closed-circuit paper recycling system: it uses a dry process that transforms sheets of paper into cottony fibres then binds them back together without the use of water or chemicals. It is a remarkably quick process (12 sheets of paper a minute) that also offers a choices of sizes (A3 o A4), thicknesses and colours, or even scented paper. Paperlab is about three metres long and two metres tall and costs around 75,000 euros, so is of course not for everyone, but for small to medium-sized enterprises. Soon there might be a domestic version of the system that is more accessible, for do-it-yourself recycling.
Paperlab di Epson è il primo sistema al mondo di riciclo di carta a circuito chiuso. Utilizza un processo a secco che sminuzza i fogli tramite getti d’aria a ciclone e li ricompone successivamente senza l’utilizzo di additivi chimici. Molto rapida (circa 12 fogli al minuto) consente anche di decidere spessore, tipologia, colore, formato (A3 o A4) e addirittura profumazione del nuovo foglio. Date le dimensioni – la macchina è lunga circa 3 metri e alta 2 – e il prezzo (intorno ai 75mila euro) Paperlab non è per tutti, il target per ora sono le aziende di medie-grandi dimensioni. Presto si spera di avere uno strumento domestico più snello per il riciclo fai-da-te. (AP)
