English Abstract
The main goal of this work is to show that a business organisation based on
communication and also its correct management makes for a more efficient organisation of
the work.
This thesis analyzes how Web 2.0 and open source tools can help to improve the
communication processes of a medium sized company such as REA spa. (Rosignano
Energia Ambiente), a company where I did my training and where I could do these kind of
studies.
I have identified two tools that could improve the management of internal communication:
Zimbra, a collaboration suite that allows managing address books, calendars,
and the sharing of all this information in order to organize the work shifts in a
better way.
As well as a tool for the management of ticketing that can help the technician to
better arrange his workload.
Also two tools had been tested to facilitate external communications:
A new site graphics and content that allows the users to interact with the
company in style 2.0
An application for the Iphone that allows the user to have any main information
about the company within easy reach.
Finally, it has been suggested to create a wiki that allows the company to keep in touch
with other companies in the same field. Being in a field where there is not much

technologies could be essential for writing the thesis itself.
