Il mondo del biologico si dà appuntamento a Bari dal 10 al 12 settembre prossimi per l’VIII Congresso Europeo sul Biologico.
Un’occasione importante per confrontarsi con i decisori politici della Commissione e del Parlamento Europeo e discutere delle opportunità e delle sfide per l’alimentazione e l’agricoltura biologica in Europa.
L’apertura del Congresso si svolgerà nella Sala Consiliare della Provincia di Bari alle ore 14,30 di mercoledì 10 settembre.

Il congresso è organizzato da IFOAM EU (Federazione Internazionale dei Movimenti di Agricoltura Biologica - Europa), Istituto di Bari del CIHEAM (Centro di Alti Studi Agronomici Mediterranei), Presidenza Italiana del Consiglio Europeo, Ministero delle Politiche Agricole e Forestali, sotto l'alto patrocinio del Parlamento Europeo ed EXPO Milano 2015.
I lavori proseguiranno fino al 12 di settembre e si svolgeranno nella sede del CIHEAM di Bari. Numerosi saranno i temi da affrontare a cominciare da:
La nuova PAC e i Programmi Nazionali di Sviluppo Rurale nel 2015. Gli Stati membri e le Regioni daranno inizio ai Programmi di Sviluppo Rurale nell’ambito della nuova Politica Agricola Comunitaria (PAC) nel 2015. Uno degli obiettivi dell’ VIII Congresso Europeo sul Bio è discutere degli impatti sugli agricoltori e sulle comunità rurali in Europa e formulare idee su come utilizzare i nuovi programmi per stimolare una maggiore erogazione di beni pubblici e la creazione di “lavoro verde”.
Le opportunità del Partenariato Europeo per l’Innovazione.
Il Partenariato Europeo per l’Innovazione in Agricoltura (PEI-AGRI) mira a riunire lo sviluppo rurale, l’agricoltura e la ricerca. Esso offre diverse opportunità e può essere utilizzato per porre l’intensificazione eco-funzionale al centro degli obiettivi di sostenibilità e produttività dell’Unione Europea. Come sarà realizzato questo nuovo strumento politico? Come potranno contribuire al suo sviluppo gli approcci bio e agro-ecologici? Numerosi agricoltori, esperti e rappresentanti politici che parteciperanno al Congresso di Bari potranno condividere varie soluzioni.
La nuova Revisione del Regolamento Europeo sul Biologico.
La Commissione europea ha presentato al Parlamento europeo e al Consiglio degli stati membri una nuova proposta legislativa sul biologico che sarà definita durante i prossimi mesi tramite il processo co-decisionale nel quale la presidenza Italiana del Consiglio giocherà un ruolo fondamentale. Nel settore bio c’è la prospettiva che si verifichino, negli anni a venire, notevoli cambiamenti legislativi. Il Congresso è un’opportunità per gli stakeholder del biologico di rivolgersi ai decisori politici, nonché al pubblico, per cercare soluzioni su come la nuova Regolamentazione può contribuire a rendere l’Europa più bio e guidare l’innovazione nella produzione alimentare sostenibile.
